Add a excel format in tally

Sir,

What to Export ?
Tally has a facility to export its data to other applications like spreadsheets, word processing software and other database software. Export of data is provided mainly for summaries and statement reports like Trial Balance, Stock Summary, etc. You can export it to another company using Tally that will import it directly.

How to Export?
You can export all reports and statements. For this a separate export button is provided in right hand button bar. To do this go to any report e.g. day book you to export or any statement e.g. balance sheet. You would see export button on top right hand side on button bar. Press it and a screen would pop up with export related options.

The first option is format of data to be exported namely ASCII, HTML, SDF, and XML. Which ever application you are importing this data in would decide in which format you should export the data.
For statements like balance sheets and trial balance which we use to send and import file in word and excel etc. HTML format is good. We need minimum formatting in this format while using it in MS Word and MS Excel.
certain applications accept continuous data where we have defined field length. Then ASCII format is better.
For application which accept SDF and XML format these formats can be chosen.

Give a file name and the exported file is saved in the parent Tally directory on your computer. You can now use that file to import its contents into another program, send it as it is (say if it is HTML file) to a colleague or view it using a browser.

Thanks
Good Luck

No sound card?

Computer sound. Check if speakers are working at another computer.. If so check that speakers mini jack are connected in right socket.(a dot with 3 brackets at 2 sides.) , should be a green socket fitted in a green female socket.. Still no sound install drivers and software that comes with motherboard, usually work 99%. There?s specific files needed for functionality depending on sound software that windows doesn?t have. If still no sound go to control panel, system,, hardware, device manager, sound video game controllers and uninstall all sound drivers. Reboot and let windows pickup up onboard sound and install drivers auto. if still no sound reinstall windows, make sure you?re not selecting new or format your hard drive, Ask someone that has done it before. This solves usually all my problems. If still no sound buy a separate souncard, they are cheap and use the disk that?s supplied.

I formated my work station ibm now i try to

On another PC go to the adaptec web site and find the drivers to match your operating system and hardware. When you boot from cd there is an option when the OS install first starts that says something like Press F6 to install additional drivers. (I'm working from memory here but you will know it when you see it) I did this recently for SATA drivers but the procedure is the same. The problem is that the drivers need to be on a floppy disk and I could find no way around this. My machine did not have a floppy disk. So I went digging in the old dead junk machines lying around my office until I found one. I copied the drivers to the floppy using another old still working machine then temporarily attached my new found floppy drive to the machine I was tyring to rebuild. I didn't bolt it in. It was just sitting there temporarly. Once the drivers are in you won't need the floppy again. Make sure the floppy drive is recognised in the bios before you boot from cd. Hope this hepls and let us know how you go :)

Is Termination Necessary?

Usually, SCSI devices come with the termination built into the device. Older devices actually had two or three terminating resistor packs plugged into the card or drive circuit board. More modern ones have DIP switches to turn the termination on or off.
Essentially, on a SCSI daisy chain ribbon cable with multiple connectors, only the first and last physical device needs to be terminated. Usually SCSI devices come from the factory already terminated. If you have only one device to connect check and see if there is a DIP switch to change. I would go ahead and connect it. If it works, it's probably already set properly.
That said, I have worked with daisy chains of SCSI devices where a particular device would only work if it were terminated even if it was in the middle of the chain. s

Adaptec 29160n vista support issue

vista has a major issue with allowing even the admin to move and transfer files and folders.
I have run across a fix that helped me gain more control, but you probable need to get drivers for Vista from the scsi controler card manufacturer.
and for the drives.
Vista is a terribly restrictive OS.
WARNING: please do not do this if you can't reverse it on your own if needed. Editing your registry can be risky so use extreme caution.

WD2500 external hd from adaptec

Hi,

first unless you're operating the drive at Sub 0 celcius, it has no need to warm up, in fact they prefer cool temps. If it is power cycling on the way to working either the controller board from adaptec or the one on the HDD is failing. You can try moving the HDD into a different shell(available at most computer stores). If it does the same thing in the new shell the board on the drive is the problem.

Although possible to replace it's generally not cost effective to replace both the shell and circuit board as drives are so cheap these days. Wether you try to replace the shell or not I would recommend backing up anything of value that's on the drive as this type of problem is generally indicative of a serious failure in the near future.

Bought CD-RWs that are 12x speed and my current

If you are saying CDRW is a media disc at 12x. And your CDRW burner can only burn at 4x and read at 10x. Just burn your media disc at 4x but it will gonna take long to complete. That way you are surely say that the burn disc even it is 12x can be read by the cdrom.

But if you are talking about burning it at high speed you should buy a CDwriter with high burn speed. For some input I actually burn cd's on 12x using high speed burner. The lower the speed burn but not too slow say 1x. Makes burn data works best.

Hope it helps.

Power goes off by itself, then boots up again

In computers, any number of problems can cause this - bad RAM, bad hard drive, fried voltage regulator(chip in a laptop), overheating cpu, overheating video card/gpu, there are even a few device drivers that can do this if they become corrupt. Usually, however, its not an issue with the power supply/power source.

I would try swapping the RAM with new(or known good) sticks. Also, make sure the system is clean, and no dust has built up in it, especially in/around the fans.

If the RAM swap is unsuccessful, and the system is clean, check and make sure the fans spin when the system is on.

Power down the system, disconnect the data and power cable from the Hard Drive, and turn the computer back on - you won't get into the OS, but you'll be able to determine if the issue occurs w/o the hard drive connected.

Ultimately, it may come down to a bad motherboard.

Random wrong passwords

Any router that your connecting to wireless, without a password, does not have wireless security set up on the router.

Any other wireless router that you are trying to connect to that does not allow you to connect wireless, has wireless security set up and that same security must be set up on the wireless device (like laptop or desktop, whatever is not connected via ethernet cable.).

Reply back what you find and I will be glad to help more.

29160lp sees cd drives but not HDs

I'd suspect the termination or the cables. SCSI is notoriously particular about seeing the proper termination. I've found that I've had to use external termination to get some devices to work. Try one drive at a time to see if you can get any of the hard drives recognized. If not, try better cables or external termination.
