Download the drivers for XP on your Document folder. When download is complete, extract and install the drivers.

Hi, does your laptop tuns off as soon as booting is finished and the main screen is on? If yes then your system is infected by some virus becoz i was also suffering from same problem few months back.I purchased a new antivirus "kaspersky" and my problem was solved.

Hi I am Vortash this battery is usually accessable from under the keyboard on most computers.. however some have their own access door under the computer , and I have seen a couple behind the Ram module under neath them in fact .... hope this helps Regards Vortash

I would suggest you look on ebay.

This is most likely your backlight CCFL tube or Inverter. Unless you are very confident and experienced at laptop repairs, you should take this into a repair shop to be fixed. It will only need a £10 part. I recently replaced my backlight and it cost £9.99.

Hi I am Vortash .. first thing to do is get rid of your old driver and the update .. start the computer up in safe mode . you do this by hitting f8 just after the bios flash screen or if you dont have that .. just as it is about to start windows .. go to add and remove programs remove the driver if it is listed .. then go to add and remove hardware ( both these are in control panel ) and click on Display adapter and uninstall them then close all the programs and rebboot it will search it'self for drivers and at first probably load generic PCI drivers dont worry let it do that .. you can change it after .. when its rebbooted install the correct drivers and reebbot again the computer should then re-install your graphics .. hope this helps Regards Vortash

Hello again sounds like it has lost its bios configuration and wants the CMOS re-setting check the hard drive hasn't come loose or your CD if it is an interchangeable one .. and if the floppy drive was in the machine ( not a disk an actual changeable drive ) .was in the last time you shut it down put it back in and reboot see if it's ok unlikely but worth a try
So if no joy you will need to remove the CMOS battery probably located under the keyboard .. or sometimes behind the ram module underneath and a few machines have their own battery holder under the machine .. its silver looks like a large watch battery and is in a plastic holder .. don't touch it with your hands they are static sensitive as are the other components around it .. wear a pair of marigolds the rubber will help protect the circuit ... hope this is a success for you good luck .. Replace the keyboard easily available for cheap. Get full manual at Acer website but replacement is easy, be careful of the clips holding the connection to the motherboard, don't remove just slide upward to release..

Ebay is a good place to start. To replace it. Take out the screw on the back labeled "KB." Then on the front, there are three tabs on top of the keyboard (closest to the screen). Take a pen and pull them towards you. Then take the keyboard out and put the other one in.

Remove the battery and unplug the laptop. Hold the power button down for 10 seconds. Plug it back in, pop in the battery, turn it back on.  Let me know if that works.

The CMOS Battery is behinf the main battery behind a platic shield. The shield is relitivly fragile and glued around the edges. Care should be used removing it to prevent ripping. The battery itself is 3" flat pack glued to the case. Mine was wrapped in a black heat shrink with two wires exiting.
The connector is under the keyboard. You will need to remove the 6 scres from the bottom of the case to release and remove the keyboard. The keyboard ribbon cable is attached through a ZIF socket. Be sure and release the cable before removimng the keyboard. Youll have to trace the CMOS battery leads to determine the correct connector.
I found a Maxell ML2032 rechargable battery. Unfotunatly all the 3" flat pack batteries I have found are LITHIUM ION and not rechargeable. If I find a replacement I will post the information.

You could try booting in safe mode. Press F2 during Post startup to enter the set up utility. You can navigate to the Security Settings and change your supervisor password. Please note that Acer C302 wireless does not work well when you are running on batteries.

If after powering it on there is black screen and green light is flashing (the one for wireless/bluetooh) probably there is something wrong with the motherboard. If the laptop starts up to a moment when messages on a screen appear it means that all various components may malfunction (such as RAM memory, Hard Drive, graphic card, etc) .
