left rear of the bottom of the trans pan under neath the bike kick stand side, ,the trans drain is midway on the bottom right side of the trans pan,can send a picture of it if needed,just send a reply

...you can purchase an aftermarket switch and change out the switch. You need a 6-lug switch for you 78. Run wire from positive side of battery to positive side of coil then kick start or roll

Want to confirm the bike side anchor point of the spring. Looks like a small mushroom head post about parrelel to the pivot point of the kick stand That's it, the frame sping anchor.

...side then check it on the kick stand, if the dipstick is solid then check it upright. the dipstick should always be screwed all the way in and then take it out to check fluid level. I hope this helps ...

kick up where the spring stretch would be the least, you should be able to get the spring on. No, there is no special tool for installing the spring. I use a pair of side cut pliers to grab the spring
