Rockford Fosgate P1 12? subwoofer. It claims to have only 300 watt max. I guess I?m confused because I just sold a 10? subwoofer that had more watt max. Isn?t the point of the 12? to handle more power

do all p1's make a weird noise from the rim this sounds like there is a weak ground that is making the noise. check that and make sure that is not the problem. i have come across this alot.
