spuddering on 1st gear when taking off carb needs cleaning or adjusting

how can i get my 2001 yzf r6 more horsepower and torque? Just get it tune-up to top spec, use synthetic oil, racing clutch pack and then adjust the carb a little more on the rich side. Good?
