Whirlpool WTW4800XQ Washer Logo
Posted on Aug 05, 2011

My daughter has a new Whirlpool WTW4800XQ0, it takes the machine about 3 hours to go through the cycle. Okay this being said, when it gets to the spin cycle, it doesn't, she is having to pull the clothes out of the machine and wring them out by hand and put them in the dryer. HELP! Lowes will not let them return the machine and the repairman that came out to their home said the machine is COMPLETEly normal! Really?

Does it drain water, seems like it's gonna spin then starts filling up again? if this is what's happening it mean the washer is sensing that the load isn't balanced and it fill back up to move the clothes around and tries again, it will keep doing this untill it senses a balance of weight in the drum. if she tries moving the clothes around herself before it done draining she maybe able to keep it from doing this

Single mother of four wash machine not working only 2 yrs old.

Take off electricity wire, Open the filter from the front( maybee need to remove a rectangular cover.) turn the filter anti-clockwise. take out the hairneedle or coin. (the water will come out from the filter so make preparation with towels., see inside the filter if something is stucked around the small propellar. Turn the electricity back on. choose for example pumping program or centrifugeprogram. After that the machine should work.

Whirlpool washing machine model wtw4800xq0 HELP

Some times on these washers the wires are secured too tight with straps and over time they will brake and cause exactly what you described working then not working. The wiring diagram is in the control panel on most models, but the easiest way to check is to test each wire from end to end for continuity "with the washer unplugged of course". This will save you a lot of money if this is the problem so that is where I would start.

Whirlpool Dishwasher GU3600XTSB 3 - 4 hours to complete washing

Wash time is determined by the cycle you select, the incoming water temperature and the installation location. The new machines will heat the water to a predetermined temperature and it takes roughly 1 minute for each degree of rise, If the incoming water is at 120 deg and the wash cycle wants 165 than it will take 45 minutes just for that one cycle to complete, Factor in an outside wall with poor insulation or lower water temperature and it could take even longer. W6021 will not heat water, but will continue to wash a complete cycle. It does take over 3 hours to complete one cycle. I have changed the temperature select module.

Sounds like heating element, should read around 30 ohms on multimeter if okay, if faulty will take forever to do wash...Good luck
