is the pump free to spin? when the pump operates(when it spins) is the water getting out? something like a sock may have got past the drum into pipe that joins to pump allowing only some water to escape
First you will need to get the water out and really the only way to do that if the unit won't drain it is to open the filter to get the water out and besides that, there is probably a blockage at the filter that is preventing it from draining in the first place. You will need a lot of towels handy or a wet/dry vac at the ready!
The easiest solution to this problem is a sock or other small item has passed out of the washer and is clogging the filter of your water pump. Open the front panel and look at the water pump. If there is a round access door next to this pump, then spread some large towels out to catch excess water then turn the cover of this access door to remove it. Look inside and pull out the stockings/socks/pencils/coins etc that are stuck in there.
This is a 10 minute fix and if you find something big in that trap, 99% chance your problem is solved.
I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?
john let's find the sock .. not knowing the brand .? take the front off the pump may have a turn cover /turn it and remove sock . other brands you will have to remove hose to get sock .. give it a good try . i think your on the reight track..mm hope this helped.
No. Water level is not user adjustable. The washer will automatically put in the correct amount (about 3 inches in the bottom of the tub) and adjust for load size and type. This level is all that is needed. The reason the clothes are hardly wet at the end of the cycle is due to the high spin speed (compared to almost all top loading machines). If you want to see how wet the clothes really are, pause the machine mid cycle and the door will unlock and you can see, or select a "no spin" option and see at the end of that cycle. You will use about 12 gallons of water for a large load, vs. about 45 for a top loading machine, so remember to adjust your soap and fabric softener use accordingly. ( one tablespoon detergent and one teaspoon fabric softener maximum per load)
Have you tried lengthening the dryer cycle or running it at a higher temp? The usual culprit for wet clothes is not running a dryer long enough or hot enough. (I remember some stand-alone dryers (coin-operated with a fixed drying time per coin) that needed two cycles to dry stuff.
Hey, I have the same problem. And I think the daining motor is gone, but I have no idea where to get it and how to fix it.
