Yes, it might need reprogramming. Please let us know the complete model number of the remote control so that we can provide you with the link to download the programming code list.
Kindly reply with the details. Thanks for using FixYa.
WHEN YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY NO NEED TO REPROGRAM THE REMOTE.
THE FLASHING LIGHT TELLS YOU IT IS SENDING A SIGNAL THAT IS BEING RECIEVED IT IS JUST NOT THE CORRECT CODE TO OPEN THE DOOR.
REPROGRAMING THE REMOTE SHOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM
I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my
comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3
universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack
universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your
xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad
if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai
was 11676. Take care...
the codes i have for the zenith are 1000 1001 1004 1051 1083 1151 1152 1154 1217. they come from my jensen remote list i dont know if they will work but its worth a try
What is the model# and manufacturer of your remote?
Most of the time you can access the remote codes from the manufacturer of your tv to program into the remote...
let me know the manufacturer. thanks!
No, you cannot use this remote I'm afraid because if you tried to do a manual search with the remote to control something, and it does not work, the code is not in the remote. You cannot make a remote learn a code unless it is a learning type remote. When you do a search with a remote, all your doing is calling up all of the reprogrammed codes already in the remote. As to other media remotes for your computer, you will need to contact the manufacture of the computer. Good Luck
