You may need to clean your roller brush first and try to see if this would resolve the issue. If not, then most likely your roller brush needs to be replaced.
I assume you checked the belts to see if any cogs were stripped of of the belt. If ok, then I wuld suspect the brush roll motor, it is any inexpensive part and doesn't take much for it to fail. Undo the top so you can get to it and unhook the belt and see if it still shuts of, if it does, ten replace it, it it doesn't, then there is a problem with brush rolls or belts.
the brush will NOT turn at all!
