Yea just let it work i mean when it says auto config it means its adjusting monitor settings accordingly to your hardware nd display so just stay back and wait until it does

you need to set the computer to display on another monitor. You don't say what kind of compture you are trying to hook up, but generally if you right click on your screen and then click either "settings" if XP or "screen resolution" if Windows 7 you can find an option to use the tv as a monitor. most laptops will have the option to "display on projector" option. These alll vary with each computer model, but you have to tell the computer to display on your tv, most won't do it automatically
If the company said you need a driver, how come the monitor don't come with a CD to install the Driver? How come they did not point out how you can get the Driver?
Look in Device Manager under "Monitors". Does it say "Plug and Play"? If so, you don't need any monitor driver. Try adjusting the resolution on the desktop also, right click in desktop, properties, settings, adjust the slider...
Please try to go to Control Panel > select Sound, Speech and Audio Devices > select Sound abd Audio Devices > then at Speaker Set-up select Monitor Stereo speakers. Best regards
