Hi, you need to clean the blades and dry them and spray some WD-40 on any thing metal spring, blades, nuts, bolts. They get a build up of tree sap from cutting, regular cleaning and coating them with oil will prolong the life of any metal tools, also when you clean them make sure they are closing all the way without gaps. You may need to adjust the blades by adjusting the screws, take your time and adjust slowly so you turn in the right direction continually checking the gap.
How can I obtain a new 'moveable' blade for this power stroke? That would be the blade that attaches to the spring and chain. The blade snapped off just above the pivot screw.
Gummy blades is not my problem. There’s something wrong inside the rope to chain mechanism that isn’t releasing. Any advice on how to take apart and trouble shoot?
