The DCRTRV27 can connect to a PC by using either a USB or firewire cable. If you want the best video use the firewire 4 to 6 pin cable. You can output the video as raw, then convert the video to any number of mpeg formats by using either Microsoft's Movie Maker 2.0, it's free, or the software that came with your camera. The video can be burned to CD, but this is not a very good choice since even the most modest video can easly exceed a gig in size.

How can I transfer the video from a Sony Handycam CCD-TR416 to CD or DVD

How to Transfer video from Sony Handycam CCD-TR416 to DVD - You need a DVD Recorder / Player, connected to your TV. Then using the audio / video cables from your camcorder, connect them to the TV as well. Turn your TV on so that you can watch the video out from your camcorder and then select the record button on your DVD Recorder / Player. Then you have a DVD that can be watched in any DVD Player or Computer with out any compression. This is how I transfer my camcorder tapes to DVD.

Have a Sony DCD-DVD 101 camcorder that uses mini DVD's. How do I transfer from the mini DVD's onto a full size DVD? Don't have an instruction manual for my camcorder.

use software for dvd creations like nero, roxio or any other, or try using pro's like ulead dvd movie factory for import your mini dvd's in the computer and create a new full dvd with the software. First close sesions of your mini dvd's with the same camcorder. remember when close sesion the mini dvd can't recorder more video.

Please help

yES, YOU CAN. yOU NEED THE cord from Sony that goes to your computer usb port or a firewire connection. There was also a cd that you got with that camcorder, but iIwould try this without using that first, it may not be necessary.
With camcorder off, atttach the cord from the camcorder to the computer. Depending on your set up, the connection may turn on your camcorder automatically. If not, turn it on. The computer should recognize the camcorder, you'll get an icon in your system tray, lower right part of screen . Click on this and you should get all kinds of help to go further.
