The above suggestion will not work as Datamax printers speak a different language.
You can purchase a driver for Mac OSX for Datamax printers (all models) from Peninsula Software Mac Thermal Printer Driver Mac OSX including 10 8 and 10 9 USB and... . This is a commercial product and requires a purchase to activate it.

    Sorry I mean't to put Argox, also Argox printers don't work with Apples USB backend and the Peninsula driver provides ones that works with these printers.

To be able to do that you need to use a cups driver.
Try www.cups.org
try a driver for datamax or for Zebra if you have the pplz option
Else you'll have to write one.

Can I load the driver/software for my canon MP210 printer onto my OS Macbook pro?
Yes you can but you'll need to install the Mac OsX driver to make it run through your Macbook Pro. You can download the Mac OSX driver from HERE,(open the link and select O.S i.e. Mac OSX and Language and click "submit", the download links will be displayed) it should also be included in the CD that came with the printer.

Your ribbon is not firm enough - roll the ribbon at the top until it is firm. If it is too loose it will stick to the paper. Follow directions to ensure that ribbon is installed properly.
