I have built in Freeview in my Hannspree television. The picture has completely gone, and I have tried retuning, but to no avail. The message is 'database empty', but according to the operator at Digital Switchover, there is not a problem from the Blackhils area, which is my transmission area. What can I do?

This tv is a flat LCD tv wright?Not a big bulge back CRT tube tv,If this is CRT tv is analoge design tv dosen't have freeview Digital Tuner inside of the tv.If it is a flat LCD tv.Make sure ur setting for retuning not on CALBE SETTING.Make sure ur tv setting are AIR SETTING and have good Digtial antena will get a stronger signal get all the free AIR broadcasting stantoins channels,a good strong Digital antenna design does make big a different.

I have a Panasonic Quintrix which only seems to store some channels when you retune for new channels, eg BBC 1 has gone and been replaced with 4tv interactive. Any ideas how to get it back?

Retuned my Freeview receiver but now have black bars.

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information
