Yes there is a button to turn on and off wireless. Usually it is located near the Power button. It may be a touch button or press button. It contains the sign of a tower giving signals.

My pavillon 9910 series 32 bit cannot find my wireless printer photosmart 7515 all in one printer?

Hi there,
Does your printer connect to your network ok? Have you connected it to your wireless network before trying to "find" it on your laptop?
Does your wireless network have a router/switch/firewall?

Not about to get wireless connedction

Turn the wireless switch on. Look on both sides and in front of the laptop for the wireless switch.

Once the switch is on make sure you put the password or network key in correctly otherwise it will just continue polling trying to connect.

We are trying to scan the computer to detect the wireless internet connection, we havent used the computer in a long while and cant remember steps to take to find it...Help :)

Hi

Ist you need to make sure that your wireless switch is switched on i think the switched could be
somewhere on or around the front of the laptop some models its on the left and some its on the right they quite often have a small picture on or beside it which looks like a satallite

when its on hopefully it will glow orange

then look down on the bottom right hand side of the screen and hopefully there will be somekind of picture telling you that there are wireless connections available or it may be a little tv sqare box with a cross through it

if its there click on it to open the box and hopefully your router will be in there
if it is then click on your name or router then click connect
and hope that you didnt put a security key on it that you can not remember

good luck

If i rigt click on my network connection icon and go to view available wireless network i am not showing a network why?

Make sure that your wireless adapter is enabled and your wireless radio is turned on (sometimes on a laptop there is a small switch that can accident ly be turned off). Also ensure that your wireless router is on and functioning (I am assuming you are trying to access a home network and not a wireless hot spot somewhere).

If you have another wireless device try that to see if you are picking up anything.

Cant connect to 2wire dsl cant see network wirelessnot switched ?

firstly does it have a wireless indicator somewhere on the laptop?

most of the indicators located next to bluetooth switch and other indicates. once you identify the indicated then you can solve this problem.

check you wireless network settings. if not the device is disabled or drivers not installed.

if your device is ok, then you check the software for the wireless network. most computers do not indicate that the wireless device is working, try to install a wireless application driver for your laptop and try connecting it a wireless device to see if there is any connectivity.

thank you

I was connected to the Internet using my laptop (my desk pc was also connected). Got booted off. Windows diagnostics could not repair. Called ISP and they rebooted my modem. Desk pc connected to Internet,...

Was it a wireless connection?
Perhaps you have accidentally switched off the wireless function? Many laptops have a wireless on/off switch, either as a pushbutton above the keyboard, or a slider somewhere on the side of the laptop case. Consult your laptop's manual if you can't find it.

Unable to connect my wifi laptop to my existing wireless b/band

Your wife's laptop is setup to connect to another wireless network. It must be set up now for the wireless network that you are trying to connect to. This means that your wife's laptop is trying to connect to the wireless network somewhere else. You need to let the laptop look for available wireless networks. It should be able to see your wireless network. It will then require you to enter the password that you have set in your Zyxel. If you don't know the password, call Zyxel.

My Toshiba SP6000 cannot enable the wireless network connection when the wireless pc-card is inserted. I intend to network my laptop to my computer for broaband purposes. Please help

Hi Alirahmani26,

From what I've gathered here, you're trying to use a wireless card on your laptop to connect to the Internet through your desktop computer. Are you using a wireless router somewhere in there? Or are you wanting to connect to the Internet FROM your laptop THROUGH your desktop computer? If the latter, are you planning to connect the laptop with a Cat-5 cable or with the wireless connection?

Wireless switch

you can go to control panel, network connections, right click on your wireless network adapter icon, and select enable.
I have heard if you take the battery out and put it back in, it seems to reset that. There is also an interal switch as a last resort....so try those first
