Open the oven door and look up under the front edge of the top. There should be two or three screws that hold the top down.
Remove them screws and lift the top up from the front, it is hinged on the back side.

Why does my oven smoke when in use

If the top lifts up to clean you should check under there. Its like a drip pan and if anything got spilled on the top and went down it could be the problem.

How to remove door hinge technica oven t948 please

This should be fairly easy. It does depend what model of hinge you have. On the bottom of the hinge there is an arm with a saddle lock pin - this pulls up to give space to lift the fitting off the oven frame - lift these on both hinges. On the face of the hinge where it sits on the door there should be a round screw - with the door fully open using a flat blade screwdriver turn this 45 degrees clockwise - this locks the top bar that goes to the frame of the oven.
Hold the door and with a bit of wiggling the whole door should lift off. The hinges are now easily removed by disassembling the door. Replace both hinges with new and reverse the process to replace. You do not need to remove or disassemble any part of the actual oven.

It is a double oven, but I want to eliminate the lower oven... so, I am looking for an electrical plan so I can find out how to disconnect the lower oven... and only install the top part.

•Step 1
Open the oven door to the half open position. Locate the hinge on each side of the oven door toward the bottom. The top center of each hinge has a hole. Insert a nail or screw into the empty hole on each hinge to prevent the hinge from closing inside the door rail after disconnecting from the oven.
•Step 2
Grab the sides of the door with your hands and lift straight up to disengage the hinge from the door. Push down slightly on the top of the door to release it from the hinges. Pull the door away from the oven and place it on a flat surface with the door handle toward the floor.
•Step 4
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the two screws at the top of the inside door panel that secure the inner door panel to the outer door panel. Loosen and remove the three screws on the bottom edge of the oven door with the screwdriver. Lift the inner panel away from the outer oven door.
•Step 4
Loosen the two screws that secure the door handle to the outer door panel. Lift the outer door panel slightly to pull the handle away from the door.
•Step 5
Remove the screw at the top and bottom of the side hinge rails with the screwdriver. The hinge rails mount to the outer door panel and the inner panel sits between the rails. Lift the hinge rails off the outer panel.
•Step 6
Lift the inner door glass straight up out of the outer door panel. Stand the outer door panel up on its bottom edge. Pull the top trim off of the door panel and outer glass. Hold the top of the glass panel and pull the two side trim pieces away from the outer panel. Pull the outer glass away from the outer pan.
once it comes out you can do what u want.

Whirlpool GMC275PD build in electric double oven

I have a different model Whirlpool oven but if the door opens downwards then there are usually two smalll catches on top of the main hinges. Lift these up (they can be quite stiff) away from the oven, partially close the door and it should lift upwards to free the hinges.

Hope this helps

Oven with an attitude

Check the lineator actuator motor. If you remove the top cover there should be a strip of metal stuck on the cover to put pressure on the gear to keep it from free wheeling down. These is a tiny button/nipple that sits in the hole in the top of the gear shaft. Lose it and you're sunk. Work with good light and watch the grease. Good luck
