Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Indoor Photography I have a Sony DSC-P1 3.2 Mega Pixels camera. I've owned it for 3 years now and have been happy with it. However, one thing that I've noticed is that sometimes when I take pictures indoors with limited light, the quality of the picture isn't very good (it's sort of fuzzy). When the lighting is better (such as outdoors), the quality is outstanding (crisp and clear) and produces beautiful pictures. This issue regarding taking pics indoors or in lower light - is this a camera quality issue or is this representative of any camera that I use? If it's a camera issue, then I would be willing to spend the $ and upgrade to a better camera to get better quality pictures in lower light.

What's probably happening is this: Since the light is low, the shutter must remain open for a relatively long time. If you're hand-holding the camera, you'll get blurry shots. Using a tripod will eliminate this. It doesn't typically happen outdoors because there's usually enough light to permit very fast shutter speeds (>60th of a second or so). Some newer cameras offer image-stablization for those lower-light situations. The camera or lens makes very quick adjustments to compensate for your moving when taking a shot. Hope this helps! Best wishes

I want a solution for my damaged camera Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W180 Digital Camera?

Try these procedures: http://www.fixya.com/support/r13011856-lens_error

Please bear in mind the possibility that the camera is damaged beyond economical repair. If that is the case then it will be less expensive to replace it than to repair it.

I have a sony cyber-shot 1.3 mega pixels camera

Apparently we're not talking about a DSC-P200 since that's a 7MP camera and you claim to have a 1.3MP camera.

You can go to the manufacturer's support site at http://esupport.sony.com/US and enter the appropriate model number into the search box.
