Is it a problem with Axim -- automatical reset !

I just got my axim. it works well in the begining, but later i find it would power off when i don' touch it for a while. I think it is power protection at first, but it annoys me because i am in the process of installing program from desktop pc to axim. then later i find out even when i in the process of playing games, it will be reset! Does Anybody meet this problem?

There are two different power conservation options that you want to look at. The first is in Settings -> Backlight and can control having the backlight turn off if the device isn't in use. The second is in Settings -> Power which has a setting to turn off the device after x minutes. That could be on, and that is what you are seeing. If the device is actually resetting itself (all running applications close), then you could have a bigger problem and you should contact Dell support.

I forgot my password

Hi, Once you forget the Password, your only option is to perform a Hard Reset on the device and reset back to Factory defaults. You data will be lost, as this is in place to protect you in case the device has been lost or stolen. If you have backups, or sync the device with Outlook, you can run a restore or re-sync the device to populate the data back into your device. To do a hard reset:
  1. Press the Power button to turn the Axim unit On.
  2. Press and hold the Power button down while using the Axim stylus to press the Reset button at the same time.

I have a dell axim x51v I made a password change and entere it into a digital rape recorder the recorder died on me and I do not remember the password as it happened 2 day after de change my cuestion is...

MY DELL AXIM X30 WILL NOT TURN ON

My Axim X30 would not turn on using battery power but would turn on when connected through charger adapter.
Solution:
1. Connect AC adapter directly to the charger adapter and then to the Axim X30 and to the electrical outlet.
2. Charge battery until power button is solid green.
3. Press the power button to power on.
4. Remove cable from cable connector leaving the cable connector connected to the Axim X30. The Axim X30 will remain powered on.
5. Turn the Axim X30 off.
6. Turned the Axim X30 on using battery power.
7. Remove cable connector from Axim X30.

Dell Axim X51

Have you tried hooking it up to the cradle or power plug? That should automatically kick the display on.

You don't say if the Axim crashed. If so, try hitting the reset button with a pen point on the back of the Axim. That should reboot it. Post back with how it goes.

My Dell Axim X5 pocket PC reverts to wrong date

Duh... I figured out that my PC had the date set a month ahead! Not sure how that happened. The Axim was dutifully synching up w/ the wrong date, and so the November appointments didn't register. Thanks for checking.
