I have a sony digital camera, dsc f707 and every time i turn it on now it reads "memory stick error". I have taken the stick in and out and tried it over and over again. also tried it turning the camera on and off. I have also tried another memory stick that has been in use and I get the same "memory stick error" message. I also bought a New memory stick and tried it and got again the same message of "memory stick error". can anyone help me. what do i do now short of spending a fortune on a repair shop.
I do have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC707 with a 128mb LEXAR and another 4MB memory stick. Everything worked fine up to a couple days ago, but for unknown reasons I get now the message: no memory stick. Unfortunately I don't know what
happened or how to reformat the memory stick.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Have you tried re-formatting the cards? If you can't with the camera you should be able to with a card reader. It's probably the camera, unfortunately, but this is worth a shot...
SOURCE: Sony digital dsc-f707 startup goes to "no memory stick"
The "no memory stick" error is likely caused by the ribbon cable connecting the memory stick bay. Instructions for how to fix this problem can be found on this web page. Following these instructrions, I had the problem on my F707 solved in less than 20 minutes.
Hi,
In DSCT1 Camera, the C:13:01 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. In C:13:01, the issue is with the Memory Stick being used in the Camera.
The Symptoms are:
Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB is not compatible with the DSCF707 Camera. Maximum capacity supported by the Camera is up to 128MB. Please try using a MS with 128 MB and check if it works. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media.
Thanks.
