On this model, the Intensity needs to be set to 'Manual' to make copies from the ADF.
1. Press the 'Settings' button repeatedly until 'Intensity' is displayed
2. Press the left or right arrow until 'Manual Adjust' is displayed, then press the 'OK' button
3. Press the left button to decrease the intensity, or the right button to increase the intensity, then press the 'OK' button
4. Press the 'Back' button repeatedly to return to the Copy standby mode
To return to 'Auto Adjust', follow the above instructions selecting 'Auto Adjust' at step 2, and skipping step 3
Hi, Since you are not able to
boot to normal mode or safe mode, you have a couple of options available, one
is a repair install of windows (may fix but risk of data loss) , second is a
manual system restore listed below. To perform system restore in the
Recovery console Step 1: Boot the system with
the CD (Tap F12 while booting and select boot from CD) Step 2: At "Welcome to
setup screen" Press R Step 3: Select the
appropriate path for windows and press enter If it asks you for the administrator
password, type the known password and press enter or just hit enter Step 4: We will now see the
Prompt c:\windows Step 5: type cd .. Step 6: type cd
system~1\_resto~1 and press Enter Step 7: If "access
denied" Step 8: type cd
windows\system32\config and enter Step 9: Type ren system
system.bak and enter Step 10: restart the computer
and get back to recovery console (follow step 1 - 5) Step 11: type cd
system~1\_resto~1 and press Enter Step 12: type dir it will list you restore points (e.g. RP1, RP2, RP3,
RP4, etc...) Step 13: select the one from
the list except the last one say RP4 Step 14: type cd RP3 (or RP2
or RP1 or RPn) and enter Step 15: type cd snapshot and
enter Step 16: type copy
