it maybe a software problem ,acer laptops to me are know to push out low wifi signals im not sure if thats the problem your having ,you need to download the driver for that software
If it is three days old and no wifi you may not want to read this...;-]
There is a off on switch for the wifi either in front or along the side of the case. By default it is off. The wifi will show installed and working but won;t do anything. The hard part is finding that stupid switch. Followed by pretending you knew it was the problem all along. I'm chuckling at this as everyone myself included has done this. If it is anything other than the switch on a 3 day old laptop I'd put in in the box and return it.
Acer has a wifi on/off switch on the front of the laptop just left of the mouse. The newer ones use a function key or "F key" in conjunction with the ctrl button to turn wifi on/off.
If you have a modem, you must call thelocal server phone.
If you use a router, you must connect it to computer via ethernet cable.
If you got a wifi router, they use a password, must to know it and input it. If not connect is possible that wifi lan emitter is off. Put it ON.
normally there is a switch on the front or at the side that needs to to pulled in one direction to put WIFI on, at the same time you will see the logo of wifi on screen indicating status as ON/OFF.
this will work provided you have not disabled WIFI from the networks and settings options
Ok see this question often. If its new then you still have the owner manual. The instruction is in there but its a simple switch or button on the front of the laptop most often on the Acers. They really need to put a big sticker with an arrow pointing at it. However look near the mouse pad on the front and u should see the WIFI Radio switch or button.
