Do your Acer laptops come with a Word software package? My sister is unable to find a software package on her machine. Please help, even if the answer is downloading something from the internet. Some instructions and details would be much appreciated.

We had a similar problem a few months ago when I took a 1TB hard drive to a friend for him to test. He tried everything he could but none of his machines or software would open it and some didn't even recognise it. He couldn't even format it so we could start again.

Finally in desperation he tried his sister's laptop and bingo everything worked as it should. The difference was his machines were all on 32 bit software but the laptop used 64 bit.

Sis files are used to install software on mobile phones which use the Symbian operating system. That software would not run on a computer.

i have encounted this problem myself, this is a rather odd error as after a long period of time the package downloads successfully, if i am right you are also unable to manually download and install this package, i looked all over the internet and found nothing to do other than wait

goto all programs and search for the webcam software option if u dont find one there check whether it is installed in your system in control panel.if it is not than install the software

Is your Word a trial version? If you can run it, it should say in the HELP menu.

Go to the Acer WEB site to download the drivers you need, make sure it is Windows XP or Vista version for your particular MODEL laptop.

I recently bought Acer Aspire 4530 but the camera is not working. the camera is black and it doesnt open even if i change setting regarding brightness and all. I even downloaded Bison 2.0.01.7 and Suyon 2.0.8.1 drivers but when i install those - even it didint work.

Ok that is just a program that comes with the Acer laptops, it really is Useless and I dont use it on my computer, its part of the acer e management , e recovery, and etc programs that acer made. To fix this you can uninstall it under the ADD/remove programs or if you want to keep it you can then goto the acer website and under support put your model number in and download that particular software again and it might fix itself if there where some type of missing files on that particular software. Secondly if this is a vista machine it could be the software is not compatible and it causes the OS to crash which then comes with that error to the user and never goes away . Hope my answer gets you closer to a solution.

Try downloading the newest version of the software on Acer's website. This should fix you up.
