My ATT sim card locked on my sidekick and it wont unlock

Sidekick 2 Unlocking Instructions

Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Sidekick 2 mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Sidekick 2 mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1. Switch ON your Sidekick 2 with a Not ACCEPTED SIM Card.
2. If your Sidekick 2 asks for a PIN code, then enter your SIM card PIN and press OK.

5. Your Sidekick 2 is now unlocked.

More than likely your contacts are still located in the old phone. Replace the Sim card back into the old phone and copy the contacts onto the Sim card, place back in your Sidekick and you then can locate your contacts.

The sim wont work because it is locked to the att network which means it will only work with att sim cards.

You will have to unlock the phone from the att network before it can work with the T mobile sim card

You should contact your network provider so as to get steps to unlocking your phone from the att network or you should contact a repairer to help you unlock it

T-Mobile is usually pretty good about unlocking the SIM to different regions if you are a customer.

I had them unlock 2 cellphones for me simply by calling their customer support line, and informing them that I travel very often over seas and require my phone be unlocked for use in other regions.

If it is truly jailbroken then a valid and properly functioning SIM card will work unless the SIM card has been locked with a PIN. Check your settings/tools/security/SIM pin and SIM pin2. Repost if you are still locked and we will check the security codes.

try pressing menu (the three bars) and L at the same time. i had an at&t sim card too and that worked.

That is the only way to unlock the PUK,Just Call and tell them you need the PUK code and read the number off the sim card to the customer care person when they ask for it.

this is what you do:
you have to call at&t and tell them what you are doing they will give you a code for the fone, but you will not be able to send pictures, email, recieve pics or anything..well that is if the sidekick is compatible with the sim card, because on the box it says it is not..GOOD LUCK!!

ok dis is wat u have to do (i only tested dis on cingular or at&t waveva u call it)

1.your sim needs a password
2.turn off ur sidekick 3
3.place ur cingular card in
4.turn on sidekick 3
5.itz gunna ask you for a special code ignore it
6. go to settings den sim center
7. if ur sim lock is disabled jus enable it
8.den change ur sin pin to wateva you want
9.once u change it you will signals bars go up
10.go 2 settings network options
11. press scan scan select manually
12. select ur network
13. and datz it your sim iz workin on sidekick 3

if u turn it off u will have 2 do da same process again
