Yes, it uses a standard 9-volt battery with an average lifetime of 3 years. On this page is a video which shows low battery indications and how to change the battery:

Look under this heading: Electronic Security--Keypad Deadbolt BE 365, and under that--

Good luck!

How to stop kiddie smoke alarm from chirping

Those units have an end of life alarm and if the battery is good, you have to replace the whole things. They last about 7 to 10 years.

Outdoor sensor won't work. Tried changing battery, no luck. Been trying this on and off for weeks. Any suggestions?

Some brands of Wireless thermometers need to have the base station reset to synchronize with the remote sensor. You would need to take the batteries out of both the remote sensor and the base station and then re-install all the batteries in both units (or three units if you have more than one remote sensor)
Each Manufacturer has their own procedure, La Crosse needs the procedure I described on many of their older systems. They may have changed it on the newer systems because I HATED resetting everything every time I change one set of batteries.

How do I reset the remote after changing the battery life.

To reset your unit, please verify that you are using a good-quality, standard alkaline battery such as Energizer or Rayovac. Then, follow the steps below.

1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each.
2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units match. Sometimes changing to a different channel can help.
3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.

4. Reinstall the battery in the display unit.
5. Let the units sit within a couple feet of each other for about 20 minutes to gain a strong connection.

Do I need to keep a power backup when changeing the battery

Yes you do
battery shops have a small unit the plugs into the system and keeps items and codes in place during the change over
talk with a battery shop and see where they connect the unit
basically it is a small 12 volt battery

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

Battery inqueries

Batteries can last up to 2 years, depending on how often the battery is recharged. The more the battery is cycled (charge/discharged) will reduce its life.

You will know when the battery needs replaced when you find that the unit dies quickly even after being on the charger.

Its battery problem

Hi,

if you already change your battery and still have the same issue.
i think the problem is not in the battery anymore.
you can send your unit to a service technician personal to check the charging unit if it is still ok or need to change.

thanks,

Unit not working on batt pwr - ok on wall pwr

it sounds like the battery won't hold a charge. Unfortunately, this doesn't use normal batteries that can be changed easily.

Unit fails to maintain charge

You are correct, most GPS units use a lithium ion rechargable battery, typically they loose there ability to retain a charge after about a year or so depending on use, resulting in the unit having to be always plugged in.

You probably could replace the battery on your own if you could get one, (needs to be soldered into the mainboard) however GARMIN does not sell battery's to consumers, they state that a battery can only be replaced by a garmin service tech.

Check the link below for contact info for garmin.

Hope this helps
