Hi
For the Royal Pro there is a button that has a drop sign(water drop) on it. You have to push the drop button to flow water from the steam wand. This should clear the ventilate but if it doesn't check my other tips for "Ventilate"

The machine says ventilate

You can turn the water knob and let it pour out some hot water from steam wand. If your machine does not have any problem with scale the the masage ventilate will go away and work normal again.

The steam knob only turns 1/4 turn to left

Hi
!/4 turn is all the Magic and Royal machines will do. Don't try to turn it farther or you could break the steam valve.

VENTILATE ERROR

Hi,

Make sure the steam pipe is clean, try to take off the steam pipe and open the steam knob to see if any water is comming out.

How old is the machine?
How often do you descale the machine?
Can you hear the pump start when you open the steam knob?

Saeco royal cappuchino ventilate

Alternatively, try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.
