I have the C-740, and the battery indicator appears in the upper left-hand portion of the screen when the camera is turned on, and also when I put the camera in view mode (a small green triangle on the dial) to review the pictures on the LCD screen. I also think the indicator will come on if the battery gets low. Don't know if the 750 works the same way.

How do you find battery charge level?

You can click on Start ' Control Panel ' Power Options. The Power Meter tab will give you battery status (charge level) , and the Advanced tab will allow you to select a check box to put a battery status icon in the systray (lower right corner of the screen). Remember to click the Apply button to make changes permanent.

Lenovo z570 not powering on

Measure the voltage at the AC Adapter plug, and see if it is within 5-10% of the rated voltage. If the voltage is not correct, then the battery will most likely not be charging, and the system will drain the battery and die in the middle of what it was doing...booting in your case.

You can tell how much voltage is remaining in your battery and if it is charging by checking the blinking of the battery status light.
Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual here:
http://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/UserGuide/en/User%27s%20guides%20and%20manuals/Z370&Z470&Z570/Lenovo%20Z370Z470Z570%20Hardware%20Maintenance%20Manual%20V1.0.pdf
and go to page 30 and look at item 7 under battery status for blinking light meaning.
1. Blinking amber: (500ms off/1s on)
The remaining power of the battery is less than 5% of
its capacity.
2. Blinking amber: (100ms off/3.2s on)
The battery is being charged with the remaining
power between 5% and 20% of its capacity.
3. Amber: The computer is operating on battery power with the
remaining power between 5% and 20% of its
capacity

With the AC Adapter plugged in, and giving the correct voltage, If you are getting 1. Blinking Amber (light on for 1 sec, off for 1/2 second), then the battery is not being charged. Could be AC Adapter, Battery or Battery Circuit on motherboard. If the light is solid on 3. Amber, then the battery is not charging, and is draining.

Also make sure the power socket on the laptop is not loose or damaged. If it is, then it will need to be replaced.

I hope this gets you in the right direction.

Gateway NV5378u lap top, brand new battery installed and status says 100% charged. When I unplug the computer it shuts off as if there is no battery. Could the new battery be defective?

There are a few things to check. The LED lights can tell you a lot. This will tell you more about the battery:
  1. On the taskbar, double-click the power cord icon or battery icon to open the Power Meter dialog box. Note: If the power cord icon or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button.
  2. Press Fn+STATUS to view the power status box, which opens in the upper-left corner of the screen. The power status box shows the current power source, the battery charge level, and the power management mode.
  3. Look at the battery charge indicator (if applicable).
    • LED green - Battery is fully charged.
    • LED orange - Battery is charging.
    • LED blinking red - Battery charge is very low.
    • LED solid red - Battery is malfunctioning. Note: This LED only lights up when the notebook is connected to AC power.
  4. Press the battery meter button on the battery. The battery meter lights indicate the percentage of battery charge remaining.
  5. Wait for a Low Battery warning message to appear.
If your battery charge indicator displays what looks like an inaccurate charge, you may need to recalibrate the battery.

To recalibrate the battery as mentioned, try this:
  1. Connect the AC adapter and then turn on the notebook.
  2. As soon as it starts and you see a startup screen, press the F2 key.
  3. In the BIOS Setup utility, use the TAB key to select the Advanced menu.
  4. On the Advanced menu, select Battery Auto Learning, and then press the SPACEBAR to select Enabled.
  5. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Exit menu. On the Exit menu select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the Setup Confirmation prompt, select Yes, and then press ENTER.
  7. The battery recalibration process begins and a screen opens showing you the progress.
  8. When the recalibration has finished, and the message "Press [Esc] key to exit" appears, press Esc. The battery charge indicator now displays an accurate battery charge.

Hope this helps!!

My camera battery indicator not show the battery status while using camera but batteries are shown when executed. find solution.pls.

The camera will not display the battery status until it drops below a certain threshold. When you don't see the status on the screen, take that to mean the status is good.

No battery status in the screen of Garmin 255. I just bought a new Garmin 255, before charging, it can not on, meaning, the battrey is empty, that is fine. Pluging the car charger, the unit can turn...

The battery status only shows up when the satnav is disconnected from the charger. Your first charge should be a continuous charge until the battery is full. This can be done by connecting it to your computer for 8 hours approximately or 4 hours to your car cigarette lighter socket or 4 hours to an, optional extra, mains charger.

Won't turn on, neither on battery nor on dc

This icon alone to me would be worth the hassle of reinstalling this utility. Why? The answer can be summed up in one word. Accuracy. Take the battery status icon found in the system tray (please). This icon is terribly inaccurate. What else would explain why it can tell you that you have 35% of your battery remaining one minute, and the very next minute tell you that your battery level is critical and you need to connect to an AC adapter immediately.

Low Battery Indcator Flashes

You can check the status of your battery, including chargeble life remaining, in the Setup Menu. You need to have the CSM/Setup menu option to display Full menus, not Simple, in order to get battery status. So see if that battery status selection says you need to replace the battery.

Since you can shake the camera to get full battery, it's possible the battery contacts (on the battery or in the camera) are dirty, so check that.

If you do need a new battery, spend the few extra bucks to get a genuine Nikon EN-EL3e from a Nikon dealer. I have learned that many off-brand batteries do not properly implement a needed reserve, and "Genuine Nikon" batteries bought online from non-dealers are often counterfeit, just relabeled junk.
