I have a TSP600. the problem is that the green power light just keeps blinking and won't print or feed or do anything with both of the cables connected. when only the power cable is plugged in it will feed and work. but i cannot print receipts with only the power cable plugged in. how can i fix this?

Power Button And Cartridge Lights Flashing - This means there is a severe jam in the carriage area and it needs to be cleared before printing can resume. Power down and unplug the printer, unplug the USB cable and open the printer to reveal the print cartridges. Once the power is off, the cartridges should move freely

i know you stated you put the paper in correctlyin the printer but if the thermal reactive side of the paper is not facing the print head the thermal paper won't print on the wrong side of the paper. it will load into the printer and seem ok but the heat on the wrong side of the paper will not react and show any writing. Can you try turning the paper over in the printer feed holder so the other side of the paper faces the print head and give it another test .

You can restart splooler....

--Right click on my computer

--click on manage (a new window open)

--to the left look for Services and application and double click

--this will drop down the some task.

--click on services

--then to your right look for the print splooler

--right click and click on restart.

This just happened to me! I found this fixya and it didn't help me. So I checked the status of the printer and it was trying to print some 3,000 envelopes, OOPS!!! Needless to say I cancelled the job but it still had to go through all of the pages before cancelling and finally stopped blinking!

Have you already tried this? After you click print and select your printer, click properites and select your paper from 8.5x11 to Envelope.

Please advise if the error light is flashing or solid. Also, perform a self test by turning the printer OFF, hold the feed button down, then turn the printer ON at the same time. A self test should print out. Did this print?

Is the red light flashing? If it not flashing, you have a cover open error or a RAM error.

Hi Mike, the paper feed switch doesn't feed paper... it switches the paper source from the top feeder to the bottom tray. Do you have paper in both? How many times does the orange light flash in between the greens? That tells the error.

1: Is it a TLP2844 or a TLP2844Z.

Operationally they are completely different printers. TLP2844 uses ELP (Eltron Programming Language. but TLP2844Z uses ZPL (Zebra Programming Language). You need to calibrate the printer to the labels.

Calibration:
If its a TLP2844. Load media. Connect power.
Hold down feed key, power on, count one, two, release feed key. The printer will go through a calibtation routine and print config label. IMPORTANT - When it prints this label you must press the feed key and see the message OUT OF DUMP. Your printer will now be calibrated. Check this by hitting the feed key a few times and printer will feed one label each time feed is hit.

Calibration:
If its a TLP2844z.

Load media. Turn printer on and wait for green light (Approx 1 minute)
Press feed key and keep it pressed until green light blinks once, then twice, now release feed key.

The problem is your wasted ink tank it either needs to be replaced or you need to reset the error code like this

Try This

1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button.
(Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button.
(Do not release the Power button.)
3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 3 times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons.
(Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)
During initialization, the LED blinks in
green.
4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)

After the function (menu) is selected, press the Power button. The LED lights in green, and the
selected function is performed. (When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically.)

*** 4 times Green Waste ink counter resetting Both the main and borderless print waste ink counters are cleared.
