Youre phone will lock when it is in idle mode meaning you either presed power or just turned it on or left it to long,to fix swipe your finger across screen on ieither side the lock screen will moove keep mooving ontill opens home screen.

Passwords are ment to keep your data secure.It's not easy to get arround.There are data recovery services that can recover data,their not cheap.Some software programs you can buy that recover data can also recover non encripted passwords.Good Luck.

Lost password and need the data from a sandisk cruzer thumb drive

There is no way to recover the data or password if the password if forgotten. Also, there is a limit to the number of attemps before the device becomes unusable. There will be an error message that pops up when you get within 5 attempts from loosing the data forever.

Did you put a password hint when you established your password? If so, hit the hint button to remind yourself.

Also, make sure you are entering the password correctly. Type your password into notepad or some other program to make sure caps lock, num lock, scroll lock, or any other sticky type key isn't making you enter the password incorrectly when you think it is correct.

If you cannot remember the password, you will have to reformat the drive and loose the data.

Also, once a password is set, the drive can only be read on a windows desktop or laptop. NOT in any other device or operating system. If you need to use it on something else like a camera, printer, game console, or a Mac, etc., then log into the drive on a PC and then disable the password feature.
