Question about Olympus EVOLT E-300 Digital Camera

Self Timer Won't Work

I cannot get the self timer mode to do what it says it will. I've followed the instructions to the letter and either nothing happens when you click the shutter or it clicks like you're just pointing and shooting. No time delay. No self timer LED flashing. Has anyone else used this feature and if so can I get some help with this? Anything and everything is appreciated.

If you get to the menu part for the timer controls (by pressing more to the right with the 4-way key), slect either 2 or 10 secs with the OK button at the lower riht part of the 4-way key. keep pressing the OK button (about twice more) and you observe that the menu goes back up to a higher hierarchy until it is in the main menu. you have to make sevral Oks - hope it yelps!

I can't find my instructions book for my canon powershot a560 and i'm not sure what mode i should have it in, on the top button, to be able to use the timer

Press the FUNC/SET button. Use up/down to select Drive Mode (the rectangle, third item from the top). Use left/right to select the desired delay and press FUNC/SET. Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

The self-timer should work in just about any mode.

How do you turn on self timer on a konica dimage z6

Okay - I felt like an idiot but the instruction manual sucks for this!!!!!! Press the menu button and stay on the first screen - Drive mode will probably say single and have image information listed under it. Use the down button and highlight drive mode - press the right button and it will change to single and under that it will say self-timer. Now use the down button and highlist self - timer and press the enter button. Now you use the self-timer. Once you take a picture, the camera will revert back to single image, it will not stay in self-timer mode, so you have to go this process everytime to use self timer. Hope this helps and happy picture taking!!!!!!!!!!

Self Timer Activation

The instruction manual is quite poor. Once you have decided which option you would like (2 or 10 seconds) you must go back to the main menu to select which drive mode you would like. Single is default. From single, you can select self-timer, which will activate it for your next shot. The drive mode will always reset back to single after every shot so you'll need to set this up for every self-timed shot.

Happy shooting!
