No. Aproximately 9MB of the camera's internal memory is used to store PIF frames and sound files.

How does the memory work? I find the handbook confusing. If you can help. Thanks.

The memory is used to store the images recorded by the sensor when you operate the shutter. Some cameras have the capacity to increase available storage space by adding external memory such as SD cards, but with others you have to rely on the camera's internal memory. The images are stored permanently, until you delete them, or unless the memory gets corrupted.

Just bought camera kodak easyshare C195. Took 6 pictures now it says internal memory is full. How do I fix this without having to pay for information. I paid enough for the camera to not have problems

Your camera has only 32MB of internal memory, out of which only 19 MB is available for picture storage. So you can store only a few pictures.
The actual number of images and videos will vary depending on the length, reolution and compression used. For an example, a 1GB memory (1000MB) can store approximately 200 photos at 12MP resolution at 4.6MB file .

You need to buy an SDHC memory card ( micro SDHC card is also fine, then you need an SD card adapter) to store more pictures. These cards are available from 4GB to 32GB , and at different speed class ratings. I would recommend minimum class 4 speed rating so that you can capture high definition video.

These SD memory cards are available at standard stores. One place you can buy them cheap is through ebay. You buy through auction. New ones or used ones. Usually, you may be able to get at half price.

The internal memory is full; how do I correct this?

Delete pictures until it is empty. Use a higher capacity memory card and switch to it in the menus.

How many pictures can be stored on the internal memory of the KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE Zoom Digital Camera? Question : How many pictures can be stored on the internal memory of the KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE Zoom Digital Camera? Answer : The camera has 256 MB internal memory (185 MB available for image storage)*. The number of pictures that can be stored depends on the Picture Size (picture quality) setting selected on the camera as well as the level of detail of the subject. The following information can be used to approximate the average number of pictures that can be taken at each setting: 4.0 MP: 150 pictures 3.5 MP (3:2) : 167 pictures 2.1 MP: 270 pictures 1.1 MP: 451 pictures NOTE: Internal memory can store up to 1500 images, tagged as Favorites, optimized for viewing on the camera. Favorites as such are added to the camera through synchronization with EASYSHARE Software on your computer. See the camera user's guide, or click the Help button in EASYSHARE Software for more information.

Memory card?

The PDC 700 digital camera has 4 MB of internal flash memory on which to store images. An optional ATA-compatible Type 1 CompactFlash memory card gives your camera substantially more memory, allowing you to store more images or images of higher quality. images captured on the CompactFlash card can be downloaded using the same method as you use to download photos from the internal memory.

Is the camera’s internal memory available when a memory card is installed?

The camera’s internal memory is not used to store pictures when a memory card is installed. The memory card becomes the default location for storing pictures. However, the PIF frames and sound files stored in the camera's internal memory are still available.

How are images stored in the camera?

images are stored in either internal flash memory or optional removable, reusable CompactFlash cards. Providing both internal and removable storage offers users maximum storage flexibility. Internal camera memory ensures that the camera is always ready to capture pictures, even if the optional memory cards have been misplaced, lost or damaged. Optional storage cards enable users to expand storage capacity according to their usage needs. Since the pictures are stored in flash memory chips, pictures can be retained for up to one year without power.
