Those are called "stuck pixels" .
Try this:
1.Turn off your laptop.
2.Get yourself a damp cloth, so that you won't scratch the screen.
3.Apply pressure to the area where the stuck pixel is. Try not to put pressure anywhere else, as this may trigger the creation of more stuck pixels.
4.While applying pressure, turn on your Laptop.
5.Remove pressure and the stuck pixel should be gone.

You LCD has "stuck pixel" problem. This happens due to malfunction of transistors which controll the lcd or improper distribution of liquids in LCD. There many ways to fix it. The easiest way is:
Try changing your desktop wallpapper to another one and then back to the old one again...its weird but it worked for me.
If this doesn't work then follow the detailed repair instructions here. Please note that the instructions has to be followed carefully. Otherwise there is a risk of damaging the LCD further.
