Check the monitor input, it must match the video card output Eg. VGA or DVI,
Try a different video cable.
If the video input is correct then try a different monitor to see if the monitor is faulty

If it is a build in Vga with your motherboard, then it can be the vga chipset that gone bad. You can buy a new video card for your motherboard. Depending on your motherboard expansion slots if it supports pci-e pci or agp. You can purchase a cheap video card on ebay, If it is a new motherboard, it may support pci-e, but if it is older it would support AGP.

Well in monitor you can do one thing - disconnect the monitor cable*(VGA Cable) from the tower and chk still if u have the same faint screen that means monitor gone bad if not than uninstall the Grapics Driver and shut down computer... if u have internet than restart and go to device manager ( Run - devmgmt.msc) under display adapter right click on grapics name and update driver.

the graphics card in your pc maybe loose. the grapics card is located where you plug your vga/dvi connection in to the back of the tower. If you slide open the town you will see the graphics card in a brown slot beside the white PCI slots. check if it is secure.

Also the vga/dvi cable maybe faulty try a different cable.

asus x series mother board s have onboard vga (intergater).All most all ways when you play good advance grapic games Eg:NFS most wonted ,NFS prosteet,hallo 2,woled in conflict,crises. In today oll the games are advance grapic.OK bake to problem.you wont be able to run thos games .get advance vga (saparate vga )set up it .You'll be playing in notime...!

i have problems for vista window . i instled vista wind in cpu but the main problems is grapics ( cpu model is intel d450 please advise about grapics, how to do and which driver will use. please advice and i thanks.

Since this is an on board video chip you can't change it out or get a new grapics card. The HP DV6000 doesn't have a graphics card adapter in it. So your best bet would be to replace the motherboard.
