I live in the Netherlands and I'm thinking of buying the Dell Axim 5 for car navigation.
I have read a lot of positive reactions about the TomTom navigator software together with the GPS.
Only problem is that TomTom does not provide a cable for the Axim as of yet.

Re: Dell Axim 5 + TomTom navigator GPS ?
For those in the States at least, the economics. Many new vehicles here come with GPS and mapping options today for a nominal amount. I was also looking at this Garmin portable. I am not familiar with what is available in Europe though, I know the cellular technology is far ahead of the States. I just thought I would throw this out there. Good luck with your efforts.

If you mean, can you enter latitude and longitude coordinates on your GO 750 LIVE GPS device .... yes.
First you'll want to set your unit to accept coordinates. From the main menu, tap Change Preference, then select "Set Units" and select a Latitude and Longitude format in the "Coordinate display" screen, and then tap Done.
To navigate to a location using latitude and longitude coordinates, follow the steps below:
You just need to go to www.tomtom.com look for your gps model and usually under specifications there is a downloads link or go to bottom of that page. From there you need to click on the downloads section link and then enter your model in. Then you should be able to download the manual. They have changed this as it was a lot easier before.
This is the model page for one of the go live models. You may need to select one of the others on the side panel if this isn't the same go live as yours. The rest o of the instructions will be the same for you. http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/products/car-navigation/go-live-825-europe/#tab:specifications
This is the downloads link page so you just need to enter in your model http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/list/c/2485
Glad to help YOU! Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know this Axim X30 is still using Windows Mobile 2003 SE. It has a processor that runs at 624 MHz and you have about 64 Mb as internal memory; you can also use an SD Card in the slot up to 2 Gb. Here is a list (accordingly to my knowledge...!) of the navigation software that you can use on your device: # iGO # CoPilot Live # Garmin # Navigon 6 # TomTom Each software can be purchased online from the manufacturer's website. I suggest you - before you will buy - to check if are maps available for the area you are living in!
