What does a memory card do

There are two types of "memory cards" related to the Wii. GameCube memory cards are used to store saved games when playing GameCube games in the Wii's compatibility mode. SD cards are used primarily for backing up channels, save games, and WiiWare titles from internal memory. It can also be used for storing images to be viewed in the Photo channel, and for homebrew games (not officially supported).

How do you get the nitendo game cube to play on the wii

The Nintendo Wii already comes with everything needed to play GameCube. GameCube disks are loaded and unloaded from the system in the same way that Wii game disks are used. To play the games you are going to need a GameCube controller and a GameCube memory card to save progress. On the top of the system (if the system is vertical) or on the side (if it is laying down) are two flaps, one which opens to reveal the controller ports and the other reveals the slots for the memory cards. To play GameCube, simply select the top left square from the main menu (like you would for any Wii game), select start, and then use the GameCube controller to play the game.

Wii memory card for gamecube

You need a Game Cube memory card to save Game Cube Data, it goes in on the left side of the Wii near the back by where controller 1 plugs in.

How can i save the data?

No, when operating a GC game in the Wii console the Wii is essentially forgoing the additional aspects that make it a Wii and instead pretending that it is a Gamecube. You will need a memory card to save your Gamecube games.

Gamecube memory card

Well in your game sometimes it will automatically save the game but some want you to press start and then goto save.

some games it takes a hour into it before you actually hit a save point for the game some are right after the title screen

if you create a new game in the game then chances are if it shows a progress bar as well then its been auto saved there at the start of the game.

let me know what game you are trying to save on and ill let ya know what should happen
