I have Fargo DTC550 ID printer printing double image can someone help

Hi Arthur -
If by "double-image" you mean that you see multiple identical images printed, but each is slightly offset and appear in yellow, magenta, or cyan ink colors, then it seems like the card is slipping within the printer as it prints. These printers print 1 color at a time, with a total of 5 passes to complete 1 card image - 1 pass each for the yellow, magenta, cyan, black & clear overlay panels of a standard YMCKO ribbon. If the card doesn't get positioned properly for each new panel on the ribbon, then the subsequent image will have a slight offset to it.

The fix could be as simple as a thorough cleaning - with supplies from a Fargo dealer (like us!) that are appropriate for that model. It could also be that the printer requires a ribbon-sensor calibration. To do this, you could need to download the Fargo Workbench Utility program from the HID Global website here: (Drivers Downloads) . There is a "Printer Information" view in this utility, and then a "Test" you can run called "Ribbon Calibration" - do it regardless of the cleaning.

If still not resolved, contact us or your Fargo dealer for further support.

1997 lincoln continental will not show the miles or any data by going through the systems check most data comes incomplete what would cause this to happen?

This is one you should take to a qualified repair shop ! The electronics involved , a factory scan tool needs to be hooked up to the vehicle !
Instrument Cluster-Electronic Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the instrument cluster (10849) to duplicate the condition and by observing the indicators and gauges to determine if they are operating properly with the ignition switch:
    • in RUN with the engine OFF
    • in START before the ignition switch is released
    • in RUN with the engine running
  1. Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

    VISUAL INSPECTION CHART Mechanical Electrical
    • Damaged fuel tank.
    • Engine coolant level.
    • Engine oil level.
    • Washer fluid level.
    • Accessory drive belt.
    • Fuse Junction Panel Fuse:
      26 (10A), 28 (10A), 5 (10A).
    • Circuit wiring.
    • Switches or sensors.
    • Stuck fluid level sensor.
  1. If the inspection reveals an obvious concern that is readily serviced, correct the concern before continuing with inspection and verification.
  1. If the concern remains after inspection, connect the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 or equivalent to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel to perform DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS test. If the NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for the virtual image instrument cluster , GO to Pinpoint Test C . If the NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for the lighting control module, GO to Pinpoint Test D .
If the DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS test is passed for the virtual image instrument cluster and lighting control module(s), retrieve continuous DTCs and execute Self Test Diagnostics for the virtual image instrument cluster and lighting control module(s) to retrieve current DTCs.
  1. If self test is passed and no DTCs are retrieved, go to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.
  1. If DTCs are retrieved for the virtual image instrument cluster, go to the Virtual Image Cluster (VIC) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics. If DTCs are retrieved for the lighting control module, go to the Lighting Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics.
  1. If the virtual image instrument cluster cannot be accessed by the NGS tester, go to Pinpoint Test C . If the Refer Lighting Control Module cannot be accessed by the NGS tester, go to Pinpoint Test D .
Rotunda Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS®) 001-00001 may also be used to diagnose this system.
It's more then likely you need a new instrument cluster ,but you need to have it checked for any codes stored ! A obd2 code reader won't do it ! factory scan tool !

Passing smog

code p 1340 refers to crank position sensor and camshaft position sensor signals out of sequence
the results of the pretest smog test at 2400 rpm suggest that the cam advance solenoid or system is failing
that will alter the sequence of the signals resulting in the code and failing of the smog test
as to answer you question , I am not convinced at this point but I consider the cam advance system to be at fault and would be testing in that area

DirectSound test results: Failure at step 19 (User verification of software): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

Hi,
Run the dell diagnostics on the sound card .
1. Restart your computer
2. tap on the f12 key slowly five times
3. select the option Boot to utility partision or diagnostics
4.select dell 32 bit diagnostics
5. Select customer test and test sound

If the test pass, try system restore , probably the problem is with the sound card drivers

if the sound test fails , shutdown the system again and remove the cmos battery and start the system without it once.Check sound again .

Thanks
