Turn the pump off, remove the lid and pump basket. reach your finger inside to see if there is any debris caught in the impeller. MAKE SURE the pump cannot come on at any point while you're working on it.
That should do the trick, if not, investigate an air leak on the suction side of the pump. Causes: bad lid 0-ring, threads on suction fitting leaking air in, or if there is a union on the suction side, make sure it's tight and the o-ring is in good condition (add lube as necessary).

Air in whisperflo window, bubbles from pool jets

This is a air leak on your suction side between the skimmer and the pump. You will not see water in the yard on the suction side usually, only the return. It is usually just the fittings around your pump or the seal around the pump lid, check those first and make sure you do not have a loose clamp or a damaged or dry seal. If that is not it then call in your local service guy to determine where the leak is. They will most likely pressurize your suction line to find the leak. Hope that helps.

Pentair WhisperFlo 1hp, 230v, Dual Speed won't start in morning

If the high speed side of a two speed pump will not operate it is because there is a problem with the windings on the high side of the motor.
You will need to either take it to a motor shop and have them fix it or replace the complete motor.

When I turn on my pool filter with a Pentair WhisperFlo 2 hp pump, the psi has jumped from 18 to 30. There's nothing visible in the baskets in the skimmers or in the WhisperFlo. Where could the resistance...

If your pressure has gone up, the problem will be on the discharge side of the pump. First, make sure that your gauge is not malfunctioning.
Next see if all valves after the pump are set properly and that the three way valves or backwash valve are not broken inside.

The water feature has stooped working. Filters are clean and flushed. Any Ideas on how to start it

It this question about a pool pump not working? I am not exactly sure what water feature you are referring to. If your pool pump is not working at all, you will most likely need to prime it. Also, make sure that your breakers are not thrown and that you have power getting to the pump. Check for a jammed or clogged impeller and make sure that all baskets in the pump and skimmer are free of clogs and jams.

When I turn the suction valve to pull from the pool only and not the jacuzzi, the pump doesn't fill w/ water and has a lot of air and the filter tank loses pressure.

sounds like you have alot of air coming from the pool. check the weir in the skimmer to make sure it's not stuck and blocking water from coming in, assuming the water level in the pool is normal.

If you have an auto cleaner, make sure the hoses are not cracked. Use a process of elimination to try and determine where the air is coming from. If you can't find anything obvious, have the line(s) pressure tested.

I have a Whisperflow pool pump attached to a Polaris Caretaker in-pool cleaning system. When the pump is turned on it pumps a great deal of air through the cleaning system plus the system does not seem to...

there may be some debris at the pump lid oring that is allowing some air to get sucked in. sometimes everything seems to be operating fine until the system gets up to full pressure. perhaps the pump has run dry at some point and the pipe that threads into the front of the whisperflo pump has broken the seal. make sure the pipe is dry and then turn on system. you can use duck tape or squeeze silicon sealer into threaded area this will usually at least allow you to notice that less air is entering the system that way you dont have to cut and replumb parts you don need to. you may want to check any valves that are in the pipes that lead to the front of the pump it is possible that the flap at the skimmer throght where the water comes in at the pool wall tile/water line is sticking up and or is getting stuck which will stop the amount of water needed to enter thru the skimmer basket area once the pump is in full prime this then lets the water drop inside skimmer basket area and air gets sucked into the pump then the process repeats over and over until the flapper is freed or removed

I have a Pentair whisperflow pump/motor and I keep losing water from my pool when the system comes on. It seems to like **** a bunch of water out. I had pool company to come service and clean system, but...

If you don't see any leaks check your Backwash. If it has any water coming out of it you have a problem with the valve. Hope this helps but I can't say more without inspecting the system. You may need another pool service look for the problem but check the B/W first.

Pool pump won't prime

check for air leaks, cover o-ring is common culprit. anything in front of pump can cause this.
