It is possible the headset you are using is not the one engineered for the radio, and draining the battery. Or this radio is being transmitted on heavily and running down the battery. You might try changing headsets and see if the problem clears up. Not all headsets compatible with other Motorola Radios will work with the BPR40.

Best regards.

The headset came with the radio package and was engineered for this radio.Without the headset hooked up the 2 radios work fine together. When the headset is hooked up is when then the battery is drained.

Something is draining the battery wondering if I pulled the fuse for radio maybe that's what's draining the battery but don't know which fuse it would be. 2001 Toyota corolla

The radio fuse is in the fuse panel inside under the left side of the dash. It is marked on the fuse cover as Radio, clock. If the battery drains down fast, like overnight there is another problem, sometimes aftermarket alarm systems will drain the battery down. Check for any lights that may be staying on like the stop lights or interior lights.

My caddy dose not have any power after I tried to change the radio it was working fine until I tried to replace the radio

Try giving the vehicle a boost. Were the interior lights/ignition on during radio replacement? The battery may have run down. Even though a new battery, with accessories left on, it will drain causing the low voltage display

Can not get it paired to iphone 4

Goto Preferences (the gray gear icon - should be on your home screen
Then Bluetooth
Turn your headset on (on my phone this is done by flipping down the plastic tab that touches your upper cheek
The iphone screen should then see it and ask for a pairing
If it doesn't, one by one press any other adjacent icons until you see the request to enter the Pairing passcode

If you don't know the pairing passcode, most headsets use 0000, but if that doesn't work you will have to enter into a Google search
"(Your headset brand and model) Bluetooth Passcode"
and search the resulting links until you find it

1991 cadillac deville drains battery overnight. Battery is good, has a 4000w amp hooked up for subs, but also a marine yellow top battery in the trunk to act as a powercap, so its not overloading the...

when you have a problem such as this, i would try to unplug the amp over night and see if any thing changed. also you can take a 12 volt test light and remove positive battery lead. then hook up the test light in series ( the wire end with clip hook to cable that's off . and the pointed end for checking curcuits. goes to battery post. the post you removed cable from .the test light will illuminate.it will be bright if you have a large drain on this system.it should have a small drain for the memory for the ecm in the car. then start removing fuses until the test light goes out or dim.try to leave the amp unplugged during this test. maybe this will help!!

My car radio is draining my battery even when the car is off... and i have xm radio... is this accurate and is it ok to put the same radio in the car ???

If the battery is being drained by the radio,it is either hooked up incorrect,or the radio has a flaw in it causing the drain, have it repaired,or install another one.Any radio you want,a radio of any kind is fine,if it draws the battery down, then it is defective.

Heats up drains battery fast

heats up?do you mean the unit itself heats up fast?if that so.you unit has a short circuit inside on it thats why your battery drains so fast...,but if its not,the problem is on your battery. Not even a battery can charge is meaning that your battery is still good.If a battery has defect or let me say it is already weak,it will not already stored a longer life of a power.,becoz if that so,the current or well known as the ampere is already goes down than the given specification when it is new..and thats the reason why it is already fast draining.

Radio fuse sounds like a logical place to start. Be sure you check all your fuses. Theres probably more then 1 for the radio

Cannot hear anything out of the earpiece of my GN netcom 9120 wireless headset

I was also experiencing the same problem (also after a power failure / storm) -- apparently good battery charge, connections ok, etc. I then tried removing the battery from the headset itself, waited 30 seconds, and then reinstalled the battery. This seems to have resolved the problem.

It is fairly easy to open the clamshell, but you will need a very fine Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery hold-in (it's really not a hold-down, it just keeps the battery in place. Reassemble the same way -- be sure to keep positive to positive and negative to negative.
