I have the same problem. Ice maker works but doesn't dispense. Water is working, if you call squirting in short spurts working. Now all I hear is a constant clicking noise......very annoying.

Water does not get to ice maker but does get to the door water dispenser. Hand filled the ice dispenser tray, it froze into cubes but dispenser does not eject them. Bought used at flea market and they delivered but did not hook up water line. They plugged it in and Icemaker was turned on prior to plugging in. I have since hooked up water line, turned off icemaker and turned back on. Now have unplugged and will turn off Icemaker before plugging back in. Is there only one water line hook up that goes to the filter and from there gets distributed to both the Icemake and door dispenser? Or is there another line that splits off before the filter and goes to the Icemaker. I have no manual. Water does not get to ice maker but does get to the door water dispenser. There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze
"Prepare for the worst" This is a problem i'm currently dealing with at the moment, ice maker thaw'd and refroze the ice as a block, binding the crusher turbine till it quit working. then water dispenser started spitting till it quit working, but anyway i disconnected the ice maker and water dispenser power hookup, because when i tried to use it it was drawing off the power of the fridge. now i'm to the point where fridge clicks like the relay is going out. in the back of the freezer below the ice maker tray i removed the clip or screw to where when it clicks i can hand spin the cooling fan on the click, and fridge starts up and runs, but don't remove this panel because having it on helps the air push into fridge compartment and keeps cooling elements from turning to a block of ice, " so long story short " its either your cooling fan or relay on chip board that starts cooling fan, i'm no expert but this is where i'm at hope it helps.
If the light is dimming when you try to get ice (dimming then getting bright in cycles) then thisis a common problem and GE will fix it. The Main circuit board on the back goes bad causing the ice\water dispenser to quit working then eventually the fridge quits cooling. Call 800-386-1215 and tell them the problem. There is a recall for the board
So the dispenser is getting water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
If the valves clicks but water doesn't get to ice maker the fill tube can be stopped up with ice.The waterinlet valve on the back of the unit where the
water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and
block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to
see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill
tube.
Your problems are the power board for sure. I have the same refrigerator and have read dozens of forums and advise pages looking for answers. If you let the problem countinue your fridge will completely stop cooling and all your food will be trash as has happened to me.
Symptoms: Fan in the back starts to make click or flopping sound as it tries to start up. Ice despenser doesent despense ice. water works sometimes. Eventually you notice your food defrosting partially and then refreezing as the defrost timer stops working which is controlled by the power board. Light dims and pulses when you hold the Ice despencer in. If you remove the light for the dispencer your water will work fine as long as the fan isnt making the clicking noise. Fan will eventually start up and run.
We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150.
We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)
THE FRONT PANEL IS DEFECTIVE. HAVE REPLACED TWO IN LAST MONTH. JUST TAKE NOTE OF MODEL WITH DEALER AS CERTAIN MODELS HAVE TO HAVE THE POWER BOARD REPLACED AS WELL.
