Hi fathy eldin,

For more information on the Philips GoGear SA6045, like FAQ's, software, manuals and more, visit http://ow.ly/5R5Ud.

There is an FAQ on PC Recognition @ http://ow.ly/5R5YV, but I would consider performing a Repair/Recovery, which oftentimes resolves these types of issues and also updates the firmware in the process.

Try doing a soft reset first.

  1. Insert a small pin or unfolded paperclip into the reset hole located at the back of the player.
  2. Hold until the player shuts down.
  3. Power on the player again by using the Power on/off key.
Note: Your songs and data will not be lost or corrupted by a soft reset.

If soft reset does not work, then you may have to use the Device Manager to REPAIR/RECOVER your player:

  1. If you have not already installed the Device Manager, follow the on screen instructions to install the Device Manager from the installation CD or download the latest version of the Device Manager application from http://www.philips.com/support.
  2. Make sure all other applications Windows Media Player or Windows Explorer that access the device are closed or else Device Manager will not recognize the device. Launch the Device Manager at Start->Programs->Philips Device Manager on your PC. Select the REPAIR tab on the dialogue box.
  3. Power off the player. Press and hold the "+" key and then connect it to the PC until you are prompted to release the key.
  4. Select the device name SA60xx and then click OK and REPAIR. IMPORTANT: All music & content of your device will be erased once the Player is repaired. My philips HDD14xx gogear says - 070327115306_18301.gif
  5. Once the repair is complete a dialogue box will pop up; click OK and unplug the Player from the computer.
    070327115511_18302.gif
  6. The Device Manager will close automatically once the success message is displayed. Close all opened application and then unplug your device.
Once the Player is disconnected from the computer, the display will show "Firmware Upgrading" for a couple of seconds and then start up as usual.

Tip: Update your player's firmware to the latest version to reduce the chance of future hang-ups. See "How do I update my player with the latest firmware?" for instructions.

If you have any additional questions or issues, Consumer Care can be reached at 1-888-744-5477.

Hope this helps! If so, please let me know by rating this solution so that I can help others more effectively!

My philips gogear vibe wont turn on

Reset your GoGear with something sharp like the tip of a pen or the end of a paper clip,

if you're device isn't working properly or there's a frozen display.

Insert the sharp object into the "Reset" hole (located at the bottom of the player), and hold it there until the device turns off.

If resetting the device does nothing to restore the display, access the "Philips Device Manager" through your computer to recover the GoGear.

Click "Start" on your computer, then "Programs," "Philips Digital Audio Player," "Aria Device Manager," and then "Philips Device Manager."

This will launch the "Philips Device Manager." Make sure the GoGear is turned off completely. Connect your GoGear to your computer while holding down the "Volume Up" button.

Continue to hold the "Volume Up" button on your GoGear, until the "Philips Device Manager" recognizes the device and enters recovery mode.

Click the "Repair" button when it appears on your computer, then folow the steps to fully recover the GoGear.

Properly disconnect your GoGear from your computer and restart the device.

Recharge your device if your GoGear dies suddenly while playing.

Connect the GoGear to your computer via the supplied USB cord.

Plug one end of the USB cord into a functional, open USB port on your computer. Plug the free, smaller end of the USB cord firmly into the small USB jack on your GoGear and turn your computer on.

This will begin the charging process of your GoGear.

If recharging doesn't work, the battery may need to be replaced.

Check that your GoGear isn't in standby mode. Hold the "Power" button for two seconds to turn it back on.

hope this helps

My gogear player always says " failed to update firmware on the device". What should I do to repair my gogear?

Hi,
via this link you can download the Philips Device Manager:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=en&scy=ua&mid=Link_Software&ctn=SA3125/02

Install the software on to your PC and try to connect the device to the usb port. If the PC doesn't see the device you should download the firmware upgrade software from this link also and use the "repair function" of the Device Manager. In this case you should not forget press and hold the recovery key of your player when connecting to the PC. The recovery key is the PLAY button.
With this you can repair your player.
I hope I could help you,
Thanks.

File System error

At first install the Device/Firmware Manager software on your PC and connect your device. If the PC doesn't recognize the item it would be the best that make firmware update.
To solve it please use the manufacturer's website via this link:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?tmplt=ePlatform%20-%20Philips&scy=US&slg=AEN&sct=FLASH_AUDIO_PLAYER_SU&cat=MP3_MEDIA_PLAYERS_CA&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&session=20091217234034_66.249.65.49&ctn=SA3125/37B&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software

Here are the device/firmware manager software downloadable and useful information about how to repair it. Please study this website especially "Troubleshoot your player" chapter.
