Question about AOC Monitor
If you are using windows XP :
1.Right click on desktop
1.Open Display Color Calibration by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type calibrate display, and then click Calibrate display color. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2.In Display Color Calibration, click Next to continue

Chrysty and other jackers? THERE ARE 3 WAYS,
RTM READ THE MANUAL YET. IT COVERS MOST WAY
1: KNOB ON MONITOR'
2: OSD MENU BUTTON ON MOITOR
3: eDID communications path , using correct video cards software.
No monitor model told by any one here or hyjackers, so there is no none generic answer.
but you failed to RTM your monitor has manual, read it. first
not all are the same so we read it.

I found a simple freeware app called "ScreenBright" from an article by AlbanRampon on the displaylink.org forum. This lets you adjust monitors that are DisplayLink compatible (adj settings via serial comms over the video lead with DDC/CI protocol). Solved my problem with my 2014 vintage AOC E2270Swn monitor on Windows10.

Only you have to press and hold the power button of the AOC monitor. then a menu will appear, press again to select brightness option. the second option is for adjusting brightness. after selecting the second option press the power button and hold it for few seconds. you can see brightness is increasing and decreasing
