Welcome to the annoyances of Yahoo. From time to time they will be doing updates or fixes and things like this occur. Basically you have to be patient and wait a few days to see if it took it and then try again if it hasn't saved it.

Yahoo for the most part is pretty good. It does do weird and annoying things about once a year or so. I've ended up with emails from 6 months ago as well as your problem. Usually 2-3 days later it works just fine again. Sometimes a bit longer but it always ends up working when they finish what ever they were doing.

Dear Friend.. Nothing to worry. some time yahoo server is too busy.. so on that case it will give you that kind of message .. so nothing to worry.. it will be added as soon as possible...

If you are using Yahoo Messenger simply open your Yahoo Messenger program, log in using your log in information. Then at the top of the screen it says "Contacts" click this option then choose add contact. Now you can enter people with either their screen name, email address, or phone number if they have it posted. The request will be sent and must be accepted by the other person to become friends.

If you are just trying to add contacts in your yahoo mail, just log in> go to mail> then contacts> then add contacts and enter their email address.

This is how you can add your contacts and friends:

Click on "Contacts" in the top of the "Messenger" window pane.

Click on "Add a Contact".

You will then see two options. Either you can add somebody from their Messenger ID or email address or you can choose a contact from your address book.

For each contact you add, click on "Next" to take you through the process. An invitation will then be sent. A message "Add request pending" will appear on your Messenger Contacts List until each person accepts your invitation.

TO IM SOMEONE:

You right click on the contact that you want to IM and then click on " Instant Message". Another box will open up for you to type your message in. When you have finished typing your message, hit the "Send" button on the right of the box you are typing in.

If the person is showing as "online", he will get the message straight away. If the person if "offline", he will receive the message as soon as he signs into Yahoo Messenger.

• Install messenger by Clicking HERE
• Simple Setup File will Download
• Click on it and Run without Disconnecting internet Connection
• Downloading may take Several time Depends on Your Connection Speed.
• After Downloading Completed Click Next Follow instruction Finish Installation
• Yahoo messenger Icon will be automatically place on Desktop after installation

• Type User Name Correctly(your Yahoo ID)

• You are Signed in

If you want to add Contacts in Messenger

• There you can see a PLUS(+)button as Top left of yahoo messenger(if you place mouse button near to it,then there will be appear as 'Add a contact')
• Click on it
• Type the Messenger ID you want to add correctly(Yahoo ID of your Friend/Relative)
• Click on next
• Yahoo will check and make pending for accepting your Request
• After Receiving your Request(When your Buddy Come online and accept Your Request) ,Then Both of you are able to See Each other if ONLINE
• This way you can Add more Buddies to your Messenger.
• You are Ready to Use..

• Click On ADD button (It might Be in up Side of Messenger as PLUS[+] icon)
• You will Ask to Type MESSENGER ID(Type it Properly)
• Click on Next
• it will ask to add in a group(usually will be FRIENDS)
• Click NEXt
• It will add Contact
• Then Your Friend Will get Request from you
• He SHOULD ACCEPT your REQUEST
• After Accepted,If you are in Online he will see you as online and same to you(Usually yellow Icon){Both should be online/Signed in}
• BOTH HAVE MESSENGERS for Easy chat..

This is generic problem for yahoo messenger,It is not your computer problem.It is problem associated with yahoo.Some time there network fail to identify the request in a large network. Install latest yahoo messenger,in latest version this problem fixed somewhat.

I have used Zak's nobuddy before - it has been updated to work with yahoo's newest protocols.

Test: (A) I have 2 yahoo ID's - I added each to the other:
(B) I use Yahoo Messenger version 9.0.0.2162
(C) I was invisible mode at all times on each ID

1 I then got this zak nobuddy to remove one from the other:
2 It worked (although it left no message - I was simply gone).
3 I then performed the normal add request - this too worked fine and I was added again as soon as ID2 accepted.

You say it's blocked from your contact list:
I would check from messengers menu bar
messenger/ preferences/ ignore list and see if your friends ID is in there.
