Does the Axim X5 provide enough power to run a typical compact flash 802.11b card?
I have an X5 and an Intel CF WiFi card. It does work and has enough power to run it.

Since they specifically say you can add a TrueMobile 802.11b CF card, I would think that it can support any CF 802.11b card. Linksys has a good one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inspiron 8200 Pentium 4-m 1.7 GHz 512MB DDR SDRAM (256 Dell + 256 Crucial) 15" Dell UltraSharp (E-UXGA) LCD Screen 40GB IBM Travelstar 40GNX 5400RPM Hard Drive 40GB Hitachi DK23DA-40F 4200RPM Hard Drive in Modular Bay nVIDIA Geforce4Go MX 440 64MB DDR Video Card (43.45 Modified INF) Dell TrueMobile 1150 Mini-PCI Wireless LAN Card 8X DVD/CD-RW Fixed Drive Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP1 BIOS Revision A02 Axim X5 Advanced 400MHz XScale Processor 128MB Sandisk Secure Digital Card NEGEAR MA701 CompactFlash Wireless LAN Card

Just a guse but the batery looks to have enouth mA to run a CF 802.11b card and an sd blue touth card i think if you will be connected to a network or a wifi connection i would invest the money in the 3400MAH insted of the 1440MAH.
