I purchased this product in 2008 and was working well. it has suddenly sstopped responding to both the remote and manual control. the power light is on and this is how far i can operate it

My soundbar won't power up. So I pull the battery out of remote, press a few buttons, put the battery back in and all of a sudden the device can be powered up and controlled. Until next time it stops responding. I replaced that original battery with a new one but the problem still persists.

Hi, since both remotes suddenly fail, I am assuming the problem is more than likely with the received rather than the remotes.

If you do wish to check your remotes, then point your mobile phone camera at the remote's Infrared lens and press one the remote's buttons. Your mobile phone camera is able to detect Infrared light and in case you remotes are working properly, you should see light coming out of your remote's Infrared lens.

Make sure that no direct sun light is on your receiver because that can effectively block out the signals from your remote controls.

Try the following method to reset your receiver. Unplug your receiver mains cable from the mains wall socket; power your receiver on by pushing the on/off button (nothing will happen obviously) and leave it like that for say 30 minutes. By that time all capacitors in your receiver will have discharged. Plug your received mains cable in the mains wall socket.Push the receiver's on/off button and see if it know responds to your remote controls.

If the problem still persists, you may have a failed Infrared receiver LED. That component can be found inside your receiver. It will take some basic elelectronics skills to get this component replaced. A service manual can help you. Have you tried to replace the batteries?

This is caused by radio frequency and what i mean by that isyour tv unit is gettng confused with the crystals that control the connection between the tv and remote.The solution to this is to go to wal mart and buy a new universal remote and in the package should be an instruction manual to set the remote to the tv , First find your tv name in the pamplet,second there will show a code of the remote type it in and enjoy.

Had the same problem just hit the red button in the top pannel and re-sync

It just started working again. Maybe it took the day off.

I had this exact same problem. After a week or so it started responding to the remote control again. Then after a couple of days it stopped responding. This problem came and went for about a month, then one day the entire TV went dead. When I powered it on, the green light appeared for 2 seconds followed by a sequence of 6 flashing red lights that repeated. I brought my set in to a repair shop and they replaced the power supply board. That fixed the problem and now the TV powers up and responds to the remote control again. Total charge was $250. That was very disappointing for a $1,500 TV that was only 18 months old. I'm going to let Philips know how disappointed I am in their product!

The product manual doesn't list the Cyber home product. You might want to try a code scan, that might turn up a code set that is close. Here are the instructions:

USING MANUAL CODE SEARCH
If your home entertainment device does not respond
to remote control commands after trying all of the
codes listed for your brand, or if your brand is not list-
ed, try searching for your code.
Follow these steps to search for codes manually.
1. Turn on the desired device.
2. On the 6-In-One Remote, press the appropriate
device key once.
3. Hold down P until the red light blinks twice.
4. Press 9 9 1. The red light blinks twice.
5. Aim the 6-In-One Remote at the desired device
and slowly alternate between pressing POWER
and the appropriate device key. Stop when the
device turns off — a working code has been
found.
Note: In the search mode, the remote sends IR
codes from its extensive library to the selected
device, starting with the most popular codes.
Because of the library’s size, this procedure may
take some time. When the red light blinks three
times, the search of every code is complete.
6. Press P once to lock in the code.
