Question about Reddy R60A Utility Heater

I have a kerosene lawnboy heater it starts but then shuts off after a few seconds then i push the reset button and it will start again but then shuts off again. what could the problem be and i do i check it?

What is a cad cell and what does it do

A cad cell is a photo-electric device that reads the UV rays given off by flame after it has ignited. If it does not 'see' the flame, due to a flame failure OR a cad cell failure, the control circuit is locked out.
Make sure there is no carbon on the front (window)of the cell and make sure its adjustment is in perfect alignment to the flame.

check and see if the heater has a high temperature limit switch. if it does it will shut the machine off until it cools down.. just replace it with a new one.

Is this a propane or kerosene heater? If it is kerosene, check your fuel, clean your tank and start with fresh fuel. Check your fuel filter/air filters at the back of air pump. Make sure your ignition system is working.

If it actually ignites and burns but shuts off either the flame sensor is bad (or dirty) or the control is bad. I would verify the flame sensor is clean and had good electrical connections to the controller for starters.

Absolutely K1 or diesel can get old in a hurry, the ultra-low Sulphur diesel has been tinkered with so much that it turns to book varnish much faster than before 2010. Most of those heaters spray fuel past the igniters using a siphon much like a spray paint gun, the suction tube may have dry rot or a small air leak and it it takes but a tiny air leak to kill the siphon effect. Check the tube from the nozzle all the way down to the fuel tank or replace it if you're not certain it is not compromised or dry rotted.

Kerosene heater won't stay lit

check to see if the photo cell is clean.to check it open the side compartment and look for the blue and white wire comming from photo cell,on the reset switch there is a white wire and a blue wire.hook these two wires to gether at the switch and try to refire the unit.if the unit keeps running the photo cell is bad and NEEDS to be changed.if the unit shuts off the safety switch is bad.

Have john deere 50 kerosene space heater has fuel,new plug,

if it trys to start when you turn the thermostate then thats not the problem, it has to be either the high heat limit control or the flame sensor. Mine did the same thing and I also thought the eye was working but as soon as I changed it the problem was solved. Pretty much all flame sensors are the same and you can get one from Mr. Heater for less than 3 bucks, same with the limit control.

150,000btu Dayton htr (torpedo) lights, runs10 min fine, then shuts off

check for proper pump pressure. Restricted fuel flow. Proper venting of fuel cap.

Our Kohler dtv shower turns off on its own as soon as it reaches the set temperature. This started happening about 3 weeks ago. It takes forever to get hot then slowly increases the temp and the last 3 degrees it quickly jumps up to set temp and shuts off. Absolutely driving me crazy.
