Sorry to be an idiot, but when I load a finalized CD from the CD300 into any of my Mac computers, I get a message that it is unreadable and do I want to initialize it. I purchased this camera with no software, no manual, etc, so I am at a loss. Is it necessary to install software into a computer to read these discs? That old sinking feeling ..... of making a mistake.... is beginning to take hold! Anyone have some suggestions? Thanks in advance. Oh... the disc is being read by the camera. I've not even a USB cable to download to the computer with....-- TJ
A friend of mine had a Sony CD cam earlier this year, I don't remember the model, but it would only work through CD Creator. Yes, CD Creator did come with the camera. He doesn't still have the camera, but as I recall CD Creator is used to finalize the CD and make it readable. BTW, this was a Windows based computer, but I don't think that makes any difference.

It is my understanding that you need Roxio's CD Creator.

Wow did you get an amazing deal on the camera? lol... to buy it with nothing? check sony's website, they must have a link to download the drivers for the mac. I presume you'd need to download something to be able to read sony formatted disks on a mac.
