Question about Sony Mavica MVC-FD88 Digital Camera
Took some awsome photo's this weekend but now my mavica won't read one of the disks, i get "disk error" message, and my computer says that the a: drive is not ready and that the disk must be formatted when i insert the disk. is this the mavica's fault or the disk? also, took a 15 second movie and that disk is messed up too. what could this be? any ideas?
SOURCE: disk error
Hello anuhera, This is a very common problem with the cd400 camera, I have learned the hard way that Sony's recommendation to use their [expensive] media was more than just self interest. There are a lot of quality issues with CD media. As my camera has aged it is more and more intolerant of off-brand media. This is true even though I have not shot more than a 1000 images with the camera. While I can plan on getting the c:13:01 error with unbranded disks, I can still use the Sony disks without much if any problem. To get your pictures back, go to www.cdroller.com and download their recovery software, worked great for me. Let me know if you need any additional info. Best regards, nightdiver
