The freezer side may be icing up. Soon enough the fridge side may have problems, too. Love those Sub-Zeros, but if the defrost timer fails, it will ice up. Defrost timer is up top. A generic one will do.

Is this noise periodically or every time the fridge cycles off? Does it sound like water dripping on a hot surface?

Freezer works fine. Refrig is warm. All fans, both lower and upper work fine. No ice build up in freezer. Any suggestions were to look now?

You either have a blockage inbetween the freezer and fridge or your condensor coils are filthy.

It's not abnormal for the condenser to get hot especially in the hot and humid weather we've been having. Usually atleast some of the condenser coils are welded to the inside of the sides of refrigerators and freezers. Depending on how hard the unit has to work to keep it's inside cold the outside gets hotter.

thats complete;y normal especially if it runs a lot or you open and close the door a lot in a warm and humid climate

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer

and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

what is the mod num> 650, 700? no a lot help. check the freeze inside the upper part for any ice build up

sub zero are vey expensive, and sometimes tough to diagnos, but judging by your description, i would inspect your door seal, make sure it is closing and former a good seal all the way around
the best way to handle this, is to turn it off for the day, and let it defrost for 24 hours,

Clean fluff from condensor, turn off overnight and defrost, turn back on following day should start to work ok within 24hrs. Regards Advisor

Hello,

the leading thing causing that is a dusty condenser coil. to clean that remove the grill above the refrig, and the white painted plate behind that and vacuum the coil on right side ,typically the grill is held on by springs and a either 1 screw in the center or 2 screws on the corners of the rim above the door,remove grill by opening refrig. door and remove screw tilt grill down and disattact springs

their is one more thing to check,its by that conderser coil and thats if the condenser fan motor is running when compressor is on, if you model has 1 compressor it has 1 fan, if 2 ...2
