When I try to change the layout of my contacts ( customize columns) , eg. add the mobile phone number column, I get the message "The database is currently in use by Active Sync or another application ...". This is definitey not true.Even after a soft reset, the message pops up. What can I do to get rid of this?
Try the following: Disconnect the jornada. Power it on and then reset it using the rest button. Immediately after resetting it, open the address book and make the changes. That's the only way I can get it to work.
