When I try to change the layout of my contacts ( customize columns) , eg. add the mobile phone number column, I get the message "The database is currently in use by Active Sync or another application ...". This is definitey not true.Even after a soft reset, the message pops up.
What can I do to get rid of this?

Re:
Try the following:
Disconnect the jornada.
Power it on and then reset it using the rest button.
Immediately after resetting it, open the address book and make the changes.
That's the only way I can get it to work.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Step 1 - locate the column in question - in this case the hundreds column
Step 2 - look at the column immediately to the right of this column
Step 3 - if this number is 5 or more, add 1 to the hundreds column
Step 4 - if this number is 4 or less, do not add 1 to the hundreds column
Step 5 - set all numbers to the right of the hundreds column to zero
When rounding, the process if always the same.
1) Find the column that you are concerned with, in this case, the hundredths column.
2) Look to the number immediately to the right of this number.
3) If the number is 5 or more, add 1 to the hundredths column
4) If the number is 4 or less, don't add 1 to the hundredths column
5) Since this is to the right of the decimal, delete all numbers to the right of this column. If the column in question was to the left of the decimal, we would set all the numbers to the right to be zero.
In this case, the hundredths column is to the right of the 4 and contains a 7. The number immediately to the right is a 5, so we have to add 1 to the 7 to make it 8 and delete all columns to the right.
Step 1 - identify the column in question - in this case the hundreds' column is the second column, in this case the 5
Step 2 - identify the column immediately to the right of the column above - in this case, the tens' column
Step 3 - if this number is 5 or greater, we add 1 to the column in question - in this case, we add 1 to the hundreds column, making it a 6
Step 4 - if this number is 4 or less, don't add 1 to the column in question
Step 5 - set all numbers to the right of the column in question to 0
To round a number, we first have to find the column in question. In this question, we need the thousands column, which has a 9 in it. Next, we go to the column immediately to the right. If the number is 4 or less, we don't add one to the thousands column and set all the numbers to the right to zero. If the number is 5 or more, we add one to the thousands column and set all the numbers to the right to zero.
In this case, the number in the column immediately to the right is a 0, so we don't have to add 1 to the thousands column, and rounded to the nearest thousand, we get 39,000.
Round 118 to the nearest hundred. Look at the number to the right of the hundreds column. If it is 5 or greater, add 1 to the hundreds column. If not, don't add 1 to the hundreds column. Make all columns to the right of the hundreds column 0. Since the number in the tens column is 1, we don't add 1 to the 1 and make the 1 and 8 zeros, so we get 100.
We do the same with 146. 4 is less than 5, so we just change the 4 and 6 to 0 and get 100.
We now add 100 and 100 and get our estimate of 200.
Step 1 - identify the thousandths column - going to the right of the decimal point, we have the tenths column, the hundredths column, and the thousandths column
Step 2 - check the number immediately to the right of this column
Step 3 - if this number is 5 or more, add 1 to the thousandths column - if this number is 4 or less, don't add 1 to the thousandths column (leave it alone)
Step 4 - erase all the numbers to the right of the thousandths column.
In this case, the number in the thousandths column is 4. The number immediately to the right of it is a 0. Since the 0 is 4 or less, we don't add 1 to the thousandths column. Now we erase all numbers to the right of the thousandths column. I get 22.524.
first call customer care of your mobile operator and ask them apn for windows mobile, just note the apn (access point name). next go to settings, open connections, again open connection from sub menu go to add new connection, you can put operator name in my connection column and in the below column select cellular line gprs, click next, enter access point name, enter next leave user name password and domain blank, click finish, do a soft reset and try opening internet explorer, if this dosent work delete all other setting and do setting again,
and if still it dosent work you need to perform a hard reset and do setting again it will work 100%. beware if you do hard reset all you data on phone ,like contacts will be lost so do a back up before attempting hard reset
