My Apex 4100I treadmill tries to start, and I can see barely the belt turning with a sound coming out from the motor, but it stops (very seldom it actually turns and works). Is this by any chance a capacitor problem on the main board? Is it replaceable?

Our Nordic Trac Apex 4100i will power up but the keyboard does not respond to different key presses and the incline is stuck part way up. We ordered a power supply and replaced the original one. That did...

You can try and do a re-calibration on the treadmill (Its listed in the Users Manual) but it sounds like the console has gone bad. To repair this you would have to replace the entire console.

I have a proform xp crosstrainer 580. everything on the control panel lights up and works..fan,mile tracker, incline, etc. but when i press the start button the belt doesn't not move. this same thing...

# get a 12-18 volt dc battery fully charged(like one from a cordless drill)
# Make sure it is fully charged, because it won't work if not
# attach the + and - to the motor red is + and black is -
# If the motor turns slightly your motor is ok, if not the motor is bad and would need replaced
# if the motor is ok then your motor controller(the board with the metal) is malfunctioning and would need replaced.

Nordic Track exp 2000I. Consol lights, buttons do not work.

If the console lights up but the buttons don't work, then unfortunately it's probably the console and they're not repairable that I know of. You may want to check the wiring harness and the connections at the console and at the controller under the motor hood. Pull them apart and check for bent pins. If they look good, the console is most likely bad.

Own a Nortic Track apex 4100i. Great treadmill.

You need to have the power supply board rebuilt with larger Caps and resistors. Look on the internet under treadmill repairs. The board is easy to replace yourself so don't have someone come in and overcharge you. I think about 4 screws and two plugs.

Where can I get a key to fit the Nordic Tract Apex 4100i

Go to Nordiactrac.com and enter your Model number from the sticker on the frame. It should read NTL or NTTL then 4 or 5 number. Folow the instructions and ask for the Part's List. You should be able to find it there.
