Ps2 would not work no my tv

simple ask a person at a tech store if the ps2 slim plays movies if not it dosent if it dose ask them how to fix it or go to Sony's website.

u will need to put something on top of it untill u hear the noise that lets u know its being read then leave it on there

its the lazer or disc

if this is the slim console and you have a dashboard or main menu display, try putting a little bit of pressure on the corner of the lid near the power/reset button

ussually some slimline ps2 has an easily worn out small button near the power/reset button and another one on the upper left, if your dad has opened up the console ask him to put a masking tape on thos ebutton and try playing the game

Hi i need more info when you put the game in and close draw does it load the game or does it just goto browser like their is no game in if this is the case then the only thing you can try is buying a lense cleaner and run this through your ps2 if this dont solve your problem then the chances are you will need the laser replacing you can get these off well known auction site but the problem is you will need the info on how to calibrate the new laser.

You must have a Slim model, as only slim models are aggrevating about adjusting and clenaing. If not take a Magnifying glass or Jewelers Loupe to look at the laser lens extremely close.Sometimes it takes a good bit to get it clear.

try checking the audio, video connections.

You should make sure your cables work on a different PS2. You could have a bad connection somewhere in the cable. If you can you should see if you can get sound out of the optical audio port on the PS2.
